eBook I released for about 6 months now. Did advertising on google and facebook, but they don't really seem to work. Only when they watch my instagram, youtube, or tikotk videos and like the content, then they'll go to my about page and click the link and buy.

Don't really see this scaling, but feels good to make a bit of internet money.

For next ventures, thinking of a variety of webapps. Read Million Dollar Weekend by Noah Kagan and really like the idea of solving PROBLEMS for people first, and hopefully proving the interest by getting some presales before handing out some prototypes.

It’s hard to scale with a single ebook, but if people are buying, people are buying.

Could be 100 reasons why your ads didnt work, bad creative, bad tracking, bad sales page etc.

Maybe test more stuff on Instagram etc, and put ad spend behind stuff that seems to work? How many sales did you make?

Well done @Sterling729 . Very few people make their first sale, let alone via ads.

As @StrikingViper69 already said, dig deeper.

Can you get more views on the videos that brought sales? Maybe by running ads?

Can you create more content that does even better?

How can you create a content flywheel that gets easier and easier to spin faster and faster?

Have you tried getting people from your videos to an email list? What value would growing an engaged list of email subscribers have? Could you point new signups to old videos via an autoresponder series and keep those videos alive longer?

Keep going.

PS: I changed the title of your thread to put yourself down less.

Congratulations. You have just created a sales funnel.

Do you know that there are millennials who have no single idea how to do what you do? Especially if they used to selling only physical products. Not saying it's bad but just a description.

Maybe you can use this skills in some 'boring' industry? Maybe you use this sales funnel to sell physical products?

Thanks for the kind words. Ads did nothing. It was really my social media channels that got ppl interested (I go over dribbling technique, and then mention there's an ebook in bio)
I could create more content, particulalry Instagram reels and tiktok videos and youtube shorts, but it's not instant. I might try the email list, but I don't see it going past 1000 subscribers.

Oh never thought of it as a sales funnel. TBH, I think that I got sales because the content is truly good and informative. I was expecting to get a lot more sales initially, so I dunno if making higher quality videos would be key in creating this "sales funnel". Plus I'd been working on my channel as a hobby/side hustle for 3 years before releasing my first product. So I think I'd expect a least a few pennies.

Ads never worked. It was just videos on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram which steadily got people to click on the ebook link.

This and filling out your sales page. Take the free thing off, no-one gets it and it takes up space and distracts. Add more about the book, the type of person it will help, their frustrations, how it’s going to help them, what topics the book covers, etc.

Hmm. Maybe remove "try" and "guess" from your vocabulary?
