Would this be based on today's economy? Folks that are doing strategic defaults, etc?

-Russ H.
Yes, based on today. No, nothing quite so fancy as strategic defaults, Russ. Shelf corps, yes, Snow.

Jill - Building business credit sounds great!

I need your help.

I'm having a hard time picking a topic.

I've done past presentations on everything from "Maslow and the Fastlane" to "Working your Plan".

We're not that profitable right now, and are doing a buzillion things to turn that around. I'll be happy to share what worked (next year), once we have figured some of these things out. But now is not a good time for me to be giving out business advice!

I've been doing a ton of stuff on integrating social media (videos, reviews, Facebook, blogs) into our business. We're also working on SEO-- but I have a feeling that whatever I'd say about SEO, the comments from the web folks would be a LOT more beneficial/informative!

Still, that's part of the reason I'm throwing it out there-- I could share what we're doing to improve our rankings and traffic, and you all could give me feedback.

That's pretty selfish though-- I'd probably wind up getting more out of it than the group!

Or maybe not-- maybe if we looked at our biz as a case study, it would be interesting/informative for all-- esp based on the expertise/feedback from the other fastlaners.

Thots?

-Russ H.

I would be very happy to learn about your business as a case study, including the less sexy and but not less importent lessons you can share about these less profitable times. The SEO aspects will be very interesting for me aswell!

A few more topics I thought about:
presenting about the tourism industry: breaking myths, where is the industry headed and what changed in the past years, how to deal with high and low seasons? case study of a bussiness leader?

Russ, I think that some of our best presentations are part facts and part brainstorming for solutions. You could show what you have done in SEO and the progress you have made and then throw it out for suggestions and critiques. As long as others see the effort you know they are willing to help. And some great ideas tend to pop out and everyone benefits.

Less than a week to B&P!

OK, topic is "How to integrate SEO & Social Media into your Business"

(using our biz as a case study)

Very much looking forward to this-- thanks for the feedback!

I was planning on doing something Internet Marketing related as well. In fact, I already have a title.

Putting Marketing Back into Internet Marketing

Sound interesting?

B&P stands for "Beer and Pancakes".

About 6-7 years ago, a group of us met in Kiyosaki's office for a gathering and introduction to each other. After a bad situation occurred, and thanks to MJ's forum, we started meeting at a hotel in Scottsdale.

We tried to come up with a name for it at about the same time that MJ came up with these icons: :smx7: and the B&P was created.

We are meeting this week in Scottsdale to share our knowledge and learn from each other.

There usually is beer at some point, and also pancakes. But never at the same time. Well... who really knows what goes on behind closed doors??

Flying out at 10am!

Hey guys, I don't have powerpoint on my laptop so if you are doing a powerpoint presentation you need to bring yours and find a laptop that does.

I have also just made the assumption that the power point will be ready first thing - can I trade in my bikini babes for someone's laptop so I can do my powerpoint?

You can borrow my laptop as long as you've got that Dougie Dance worked out!!

Sharon and KT will be at a Giants game on Friday . . . if the weather gets better, all 3 of us might go to the Sunday game.

Drooling a little.

This from someone who is walking on the equator this week, and last week, danced with monkeys, went surfing, climbed mountains, and explored ancient ruins? What did I forget-- oh yeah-- touring the Amazon (not the website, the rain forest river) . . .

Now who's drooling? :smxB:

If anyone has powerpoints, you can import them into google docs and use google docs to display them the same way powerpoint will.

Gotta say, I will miss interacting with everyone this year. Jen and I made the right decision not to go this year, but it doesn't mean we don't wish we were there.
