Billboard marketing. Few talk about it, but the results of my first campaign talk for themselves

Just wrapped up my first billboard marketing campaign, and let me tell you, the results speak for themselves.
I invested $2,500 per month for a digital billboard in a high-traffic area in Los Angeles, and it was worth every penny.
At least 20% more foot traffic to my store and 50 new customers directly attributed to the billboard ads.

The campaign generated an additional $10,000 in revenue, resulting in a 300% ROI.
And I'm confident that a good portion of these clients will return, bringing in new revenue.

I haven't found others' results from billboard marketing to compare, but it seems like a good marketing channel that I've opened up for myself.
Anyone else here on the forum with experience in billboard marketing? I would like to see the results of others

That's very cool. I often wonder if billboards make sense and in your case they definitely do.

Awesome, thanks for reporting your experience. Any hint on the product or industry? Don't need specifics, just the neighborhood.

One of my Google Ads clients is about to run billboards in Dublin. It will be interesting to see if this causes more people to search.

One thing I dislike about billboards is that my browser ad blocker WILL NOT WORK on it.

I need to manually cover my eyes. :rage:

Sounds like a BS promo for your startup.

$2,500 for a month in LA?
How did you attribute the traffic to the billboard ad?
$10,000 from 50 customers = $200 average order. What kind of retail store is doing those numbers?
Which business forum?

Wow, I think I've been duped on this one. I must be getting slow.

I'll wait for clarification before the heavy hand comes down on the spurious and deceptive backlink attempt.

Duped me too on the first pass.

My inner Sherlock Holmes loves looking at stuff like this...

Such round, clean numbers...

$2500 for the ad (not $2895)
20% more foot traffic (not 22%)
50 new customers (not 43, 55)
$10,000 additional revenue (not $11,300 or $9,400)

Numbers like this indicates everything is fake, and made up.

F*ck that is so sad... I didn't realize it was spam so I guess congrats to the OP for making it less obvious than an average spammer....

I'd be very happy for the forum to move to a paid community where this bullshit no longer happens.

Hi @MJ DeMarco,
This guy has been on the forum for a while, but if you go through his past history of posts, he manages to sneak a plug for something into almost every post.

Either the post has been sent from some phone he wants to draw attention to, or he is keen to share a tool or platform or product with us.

Examples are:

"To build my business's Instagram following, I took a niche-focused approach, providing content tailored to my audience's interests.
Researching successful accounts in my niche helped me identify popular topics.
Developing a unique content template and ensuring high production quality were crucial. Engaging hooks in the first few seconds of my content and a second hook kept viewers interested. User engagement, not just hashtags, was vital for visibility. Consistency was key, with daily posts for 100 days initially and continual 1% improvements.
A tool that greatly aided my success was AdSpy software, which helped with social ad campaigns, audience targeting, niche research, and competitor analysis."

or

"Welcome

Sent from my Redmi 5 Plus using Tapatalk"

or

"You are already late at 39.but anyway, you are welcomed.

Sent from my INFINIX-X551 using Tapatalk"

or

"I want in

Turning Point"

or

"I have read the book and it changed my life

Turning Point"

etc etc.

I'd be very happy for the forum to move to a paid community where this bullshit no longer happens.
Rest assured that any spammer and scammer would be more than happy to fork out $10 to covertly promote their services.

They are not going away anytime soon. Manual action is the only way to stop this, unfortunately.

What being a paid & private forum will likely do, is get rid of the:
  • money chasers
  • quick-fix seekers
  • SMMA boys
  • socialists
  • Reddit users

@MJ DeMarco any idea when will the new changes roll out?

I'm really curious to see what is going to happen with the community:smile:

My guess is that it will have a better signal-to-noise ratio (less popular, but higher quality contributions).

I don't think so. I just deleted this 3 minutes ago among 4 other similar posts...

This person is not paying ANYTHING to post.

That said, this is just an option I'm evaluating, no decisions have been made.

I'm too broke right now for a paid forum, we should probably keep all the current most active and reliable users in the forum inside the castle walls, and then raise the door.

I still think it should be somewhat earned and not paid as well, as I assume some INSIDERS users are horrible but just had a lot of cash on hand.

I'm not asking for suggestions or feedback on the idea. If I do it, it will be done based on my complete analysis, not because the forum had an impromptu debate on it. However I do know if I do go this direction, those who have already made a time/value investment here will not be subject to it.

Thanks, MJ. Not trying to tell you how to do your job, just making sure we're not getting screwed over haha

In LA, the only billboard ads I see are for car accident attorneys.
