I am talking about personal growth, not just business and entrepreneurship.
Many times I have thought about doing a complete reboot of my life and change, shake up my life to seriously commit to change. I'm not just talking about starting a business, but changing my behavior, my habits, everything. What has always stuck with me is finding the "right day" to change, that day when everything is in order and in place and you can set out to change. I don't know if I'm explaining this well, but you know that day when your schedule is in order, you have the right mindset, emotionally you feel charged....
here, I have tried many times to change, I have made many attempts, but none has ever been successful.
What I mean is: to shake up your life, do you wait for the "right day" to come or is every moment good and you have to start regardless of everything?
Another aspect that I would like to clarify I think is related to perfectionism: once started, I do not allow my "new self" to implement the behaviors of my "old self", I do not allow any mistake or that things go out of place. If that happens,it's as if everything I've done is to be thrown away. In this case, it usually happens that all good intentions fall through and we go back to our old routine and wait for the right day to start again. What do you do in this case?

I hope I was clear enough, I am still available for clarification.

I think there are 2 ways to go.

Uproot yourself completely and start fresh elsewhere.

I tried that. Unfortunately, I brought my old habits with me, so I only made a little progress.

What ultimately changed my life was changing my habits. And I didn't, maybe I couldn't, change everything all at once. So I focused on changing two or three things. I started small, like 10 pushups a day or stop eating candy. Once those habits because easy, I would add to them, like doing 20 pushups or stopping all sweets, or take on a different challenge, like adding daily bike rides or learning how to cook healthy meals.

Don't worry about eveyrthing you feel like you have to change. It can be overwhelming, and as you say, you feel it has to be perfect to do it. No. Just change one thing today. Start there.

Thanks for the feedback. My perfectionism is associated with constancy: once I decide to change something, I must never make a mistake. If I make a mistake even once, I feel like everything I've done up to that point is wasted.

Nobody wants to give his opinion? I thought it would be an interesting thread

I gave an opinion. Others gave an opinion. Now we're nobodies? That's why you want MJ and Andy on here?

It was all basically the same opinion. Now you're starting get insulting.

Have you changed any habits yet? What are you waiting for?

Are you really waiting for more people to tell you to change? You really think that makes an interesting thread? Why would anyone else chime in when you got the advice you need? How many people telling you the same thing do you require?

If you don't know how MJ or Andy would respond to this, then you haven't been paying attention to their threads.

Boy, the hubris on this one. This thread is just another example of your self diagnosed problem. You're waiting for the perfect response to give you permission to move forward.

Take the advice. Or don't. It's your life.

Just stop seeking the attention of others to give you permission to move forward and take control of your life.

Change starts and ends with you.

You didn't bother to thank ANYONE that responded to your thread. Why should Andy or I bother when we know our time won't be a good use of time, especially when someone can't bother to simply click "Thank You" or "Like".

Based on the body of your posts, you strike me as entitled and expect someone to hold your hand the entire way. And when it doesn't happen, you rattle the cage.

In other thread, you got impatient because no one would explain to you how to basically surf the internet.

The answers you seek are already on this forum... no one here can help you if you aren't willing to exert a minimum amount of effort. And that attitude certainly doesn't help either.

There is no such thing as the "right day". As you go through your day you have to catch yourself in the act so to speak. Any feeling, thought or behavior that comes up, you have to catch it. It's like those boxes you see on game shows that blow money around and the contestant has to catch as much money as they can. You need patience, self-control and discipline. Who you are right now took years of programming and conditioning. You need patience to slowly reverse engineer that structure, retract yourself, redeem yourself and reconfigure yourself.
