I read an article about problems with using LinkedIn to find a relevant job. Some of which I am listing below:-
  • Tons Of Spam Messages
  • Have To Commit An Abundance Of Time
  • Interactivity Level Limited In Comparison To Other Networks
  • Unverifiable Claims
  • Premium Account Prices, Get High If You Choose To Pay Monthly
  • Platform Searches Can Lead To Negative Personal Data
These problems I reckon can be solved by a simple job newsletter, the solutions to the above problems listed below:-
  • No Spam messages due to unlike linkedIn email has spam related policies and a newsletter service won't need to send extra thousands of emails to advertise and market when they can do it directly on the newsletter.
  • No need to spend hours or create a profile, just type your email address and select your job preferences and email newsletter will directly be sent to email.
  • Direct interaction with Job providers via their legit sites.
  • Claims verified thoroughly by us before shortlisting legit jobs.
  • LinkedIn premium requires 30 dollars a month and a newsletter service requires 5 to 10 dollars.
  • No searches required set up preferences and filtered jobs will be sent directly.
A job newsletter that would provide properly filtered jobs according to user preferences and summary reports and trend reports of their chosen job Industry, to keep them updated in the employment industry they wish to go through, daily directly to their email without asking the user to spend heavy hours setting up profile, verification, going through different platforms etc.

All ears on your opinions!
Thanks!

I think it’s a great idea. I’ve had job-seeker newsletters and products on the back burner for years now.

A decade ago I worked in a startup that acquired 15k jobseeker email signups a day via Google Ads, and I imagine people still search for jobs on Google. There’s always people looking for jobs.

Email newsletters can be great too. The Hustle and Indie Hackers have good formats.

And i literally have been searching for a job newsletter service if there have been before to see what they were missing. They either didn't have location preferences or a very un-user-friendly interface. Could be a pretty good service provider for people tired spending hours everyday for searching jobs on apps and websites and getting scammed.

Couldn't agree more on The Hustle example.

I love that idea!

Possibilities are endless.
( first thoughts:
When a job is offered by a employer, 1. wave emails is to first class jobseekers(20€/month), 2. wave is to second class jobseekers (10€/month)
Subscription yearwise in the 1. and 2. class.)

Maybe you could kickstart it by starting local? Post in local Facebook groups saying you’re thinking of doing XYZ and/or ask if anyone knows someone struggling to fill a position? Maybe you could be a go between initially and not use an email newsletter to see if you can get traction?

Yeah actually, would even gain some basic experience before starting big or using email newsletter.

I actually like that structure.
