Hello, my name is Matthew and I've had this idea buried in my heart for a long time. As we all know, many countries need to import their products from China. (Although some of them are of poor quality) but I have very deep experience in communicating with these factories and often I can get lower quotes than the average person and monitor the quality of production.
And as an entrepreneur, the most important part of selling a product is to cut costs in the early stages. Spend the money where it counts. But usually they can't find the right supplier to get the product they want, both in terms of price and quality. So I think I can build this bridge to help more entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality.
But I wasn't sure how feasible it would be, and the important thing was that I couldn't build trust between the two parties. So I'm planning to build a website to do this job. I hope to hear your comments and suggestions. Thanks!

Are you a sourcing agent? You can write posts or make videos that help the layman or the first-time importer understand the process.

I think I would be a good idea when you join a few Facebook groups in the E-com / Dropshipping nisch.

That should be a easy way to find the first people that you can help to find the right supplier.

You can ask yourself:
"where is my costumer searching for new information ?"
"Where can I reach my costumers"

Youtube is a good idear as saad khan said.
Facebook is where you can give people also free information
Or you can talk to import firms and offer them your service, a consultant

Love the idea. To make it "win win" you can split the difference with any client based on the savings, or even add a residual component.

Example: Company A imports product X for $15 and orders 1,000 units.
You negotiate the product for $11 saving the company $4,000 in that order. They pay you 50% of the savings ($2K) that for the duration of the savings, or a sliding scale. WIN WIN.

There is no doubt that profits begin with the buying process. Particularly in relation to dealing with Chinese suppliers there are simple processes to ensure that the best prices and good quality can be obtained, but an important part of those processes involves understanding the fine points of Chinese business culture, and developing a good relationship, known as Guanxi.

Since I began exporting to China and other Asia/Pacific countries in the early 1970s and importing from countries such as Taiwan, Mainland China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and other Asian countries, which I began in 1987, development of my importing business was greatly helped by having built a huge network through introductions in those countries.

Those relationships, networking and introductions have resulted in great benefits to the thousands of small and large importers that I have taught, and still teach in my "retirement."

@Chubbie, there is always room for another sourcing agent among the many hundreds operating in Asia and Western countries, but you need to build a reputation first.

Walter
P.S. Don't believe all you read on sites such as Alibaba, importing blogs, and YouTube.

I understand that the competition for purchasing agents is fierce. But they usually only focus on the larger companies because it generates more profit.
As far as I know there are no companies in China that are similar to those that provide good sourcing channels to entrepreneurs in other countries.
alibaba is not a good choice for a long time. They are only responsible for sales. Can't afford high quality bulk orders.
For example customized products, which is a gap in terms of sourcing agents.
You are right, it is important to build credibility. Getting customers and going through the process would be more important for now.

What's new: Integrated logistics-related resources. We are now able to deliver goods at a much lower price. That is, we can do everything from manufacturer selection to logistics.

Definitely cheaper than the quotation list you have on hand.
