Real estate? Fantasy football? Dry cleaners?

I want to setup a new lead generation business as I have been marketing my own ecommerce startups for awhile.

I saw something recently for "real estate leads" I don't want to market agents per say, but I think it's interesting there are alot of markets that are currently being underserved.

Any ideas?

any which have a notably older demographic.

Those dudes still rely on word-of-mouth for business, and some are in charge of very profitable ones too.

Yes and they are stubborn and prefer to keep it word of mouth.

I have had no luck dealing with the old school mentality. I want to work with someone who needs to GROW their business.

I swear lack of leads seems to be a big problem for many budding digital marketers and agency owners…

suggestion: verify what you can confidently get leads for first; then sell them

Edit: its a good question because you would think every business wants more leads... that's just not the case. And a lead is one thing, a qualified lead is another.

There's not set and clear answer to this question. It really depends. I feel like every digital marketer out there(particularly guys running ads or trying to get leads for businesses) usually start with e-commerce because it's lucrative and let's be real: If you have an e-commerce store and you're not on the internet, you're going to struggle, period. It's like trying to have sex with a hot blonde with clothes on.

Construction can be one of them(at least when you're managing their social media, might different with generating leads because a lot of them have been very busy in 2020-2021. Many have told me that they got way too many jobs to handle). May not the be the best if you really want to get a lot of sales because these guys don't need as many clients as regular industries. You give a pool contractor 3 jobs in one month, and he's going to generate between 150-250,000$.

Or any construction type of business. Kitchen remodelers, roofers, general contractors, plumbers, landscapers etc.

Beauty businesses, as women tend to buy a lot more than men statistically and their businesses have residual income. If a high-end beauty salon attracts new clients and they treat their new customers with excellence, then these new clients are gonna keep coming back. Especially in smaller towns, where their marketing may be nonexistent. A lot of the times they're not even aware of it, particularly older people(50 and up).

It depends on the country too. In Scandinavia for example, you have a lot less businesses than what you have in the United States or Canada. But at the same time, it's a lot easier to get through the noise and stand out if you offer something good, so people are more receptive to new ideas because they want to try something new. Or even in some other parts in Europe. It's what we call being a 'late bloomer' in Europe.

Andy I literally considered this right before I made this post. It started from a reddit post about some kid giving another kid $6k to "run and create his amazon store". As you can imagine, that situation ended bad.

But it got me thinking.

I should create the business landing pages for these guys who run ads. I understand copy and design.

Thoughts?

Make friends with peers, build relationships, and create win-wins.

I do lead gen for businesses. I get a lot of my work from web developers/designers, digital marketers, graphic designers, and PR agencies. My skills complement theirs.

As a media buyer one of my pains is that our client sites, landing pages, image and video assets aren’t great (that’s polite for “sucks”).

Hence the rise of the likes of promo.com etc.

I wish I had a list of various wholesale buyers! Like buyers who buy anything in bulk, like orders over $50,000.00 to $5 million at a time. Like for example a buyer who buys $1 million of bath towels per month.

Which industry has business that are willing to pay for leads?

Realtors and Insurance agents/companies for sure.

Others depends on where you are.

Incorporation services , immigration service are good business in some places and they might need good leads.

Incorporation service companies in my country get paid almost 1k for doing paper work for setting up a company that takes hours. Then also get to up sell their accounting and secretary services. I used their services before and always see them spending ads online. I am sure they have budget to pay for your leads if you can deliver.

I feel your pain. I've worked with clients, and I'm just thinking, "this website and offer is crap" but I can't directly say it haha so I have to work around it, and sometimes they don't bother taking the recommendations on board or have a sense of urgency.
