I'm thinking of taking one of my niche eCom things to the next level, in order to do that I need to register an LLC somewhere or potentially risk all the legal bullshit that might come without doing that.

My question is this; has anyone got experience registering one of these companies? I thought I'd found the perfect agent, under $200 usd, some minimal mail forwarding and all the good stuff, but then after a deep dive, it seems the true reviews of them are pretty bad.

Then I found another agent who seem to want to extract maximum value on the signup page, a different red flag.

So, in short, anyone recommend a Wyoming LLC agent?

$150 includes state fees and mail forwarding. They charge $25 to maintain annual service.

I've used them without issue, they're pretty efficient.

That's the company I was thinking of using too. But a more thorough dive into them seemed to suggest they weren't very good ‍♂️

Out of curiosity, why did you decide Wyoming was the proper place to form the LLC?

No taxes, anonymity, and low cost would be the main 3

So where are you domiciled? I'm guessing you don't live in WY.

@GlobalWealth is probably your guy.

I don't think it's changed in the last couple of years but if you're trying to register vehicles (and sometimes real estate) Wyoming is the way to go... but depending on what you're trying to do there are several states with those benefits.

Don't forget your operating agreement.

As MJ said, you can't just start an LLC in the state and pay no state taxes. You would have to "live" there.

You would get anonymity.

Low costs is not a great reason to pick a certain state.

Nope, don't live there. Originally incorporated an anonymous entity to hold a trademark for privacy purposes.

I was looking for houses in Jackson Hole WY and they are way out of my league, something I'm used to and in my style would cost about $7,5000,000 -- a bit out of my budget. Then I remembered, this is the place were all the FED bankers hang out.

This is why I asked the question.
If you live in another state, then that state will drag you back in for tax purposes. A lot of people don't realize that.

There are other, legitimate, reasons to incorporate in a state besides your own, I just ask the question to make sure people think through it.
