My social media content has been reaching people all over the world, kind of crazy! Just now I had a lad from the UK like one of my posts, my targeting is actually focused on Vancouver (oddly enough I have some US traffic on my website)

Maybe I'm thinking to small....
I think it’s amazing how some people find the forum. A dental student joined last week who saw one of Valier’s videos, read the book, and then joined the forum. I think that’s incredible.

“We are strongly committed to using these programs, as well as our other tools, to do what we can to provide stability, to ensure that the recovery will be as strong as possible, and to limit lasting damage to the economy,” Mr. Powell said in his prepared testimony.

So on the eighth July I go for surgery. Removal of a cataract, second operation, right eye already done. Also I will get an Intraocular lens implant. Now the fun part, what will I get after?
Any guess's, @G-Man or other forum funny guys?
You got it, 2020 vision lol.
Good luck. I got one of those new rangefinder implants last year.
Really helps with golf and dating.

I do appreciate people living in cities because they greatly contribute to the economy and productivity but I personally don't want to ever live in a big city and want to get away from an urbanized area as soon as possible

Same here, in a big city nobody even respects each other. Its a feeding frenzy rat race. Especially now with this whole C0VlD-19, people are pretty pissed, you can feel it when you go to the grocery store.

I get the whole appeal of the hustle and bustle, but living with neurotic people with no class tests your patience. Living out in nature with freedom sounds awesome.

In the book Unscripted or was it TMF ? Yikes I'm getting old.... there was an experiment @MJ DeMarco wanted us to do. The smile value challenge, in my experience from doing it, I generally had more smiles in smaller communities or while being in nature (hiking path for example) vs the cold death stare, and blank faces that fill the streets of a large modern city especially in the busy downtown cores.

In the city during rush hour people are constantly on their phones, have headphones in or stare off into space with no emotion. There is a certain feeling, or ''vibe'' you could call it.

Think about how dumb the logic behind passing the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 was. It would help the economy tremendously. Ok yes, but with that it also gives you the power to destroy it tremendously. Like mistakes can’t be made or it’s impossible? Hell even back then the press was corrupt.

Just my two cents. Not an expert or anything.;)

I’m 6 years on the forum.

- 2 years of wantrepreneur nothingness

- 2 years of building confidence and my bank balance in Copywriting & Web Design from Lex & Fox’s content

- 2 years in Property Management & Investing. Only beginning to make good (in my 22 year old opinion) consistent money since just before the summit really

I couldn’t have skipped the step in the middle that taught me so much about how to run a business, interact with clients and deliver value. Also, it taught me how to learn quickly by myself and to identify others who could help me speed up the process.

The most valuable lesson it taught me however was that I didn’t want to continue freelancing for years. I needed a bigger mission to focus on. A business that could sustain itself eventually and be legacy building. An enterprise. Hello Real Estate.

@theag Yes, there has been a distinct lack of GOLD threads in recent times. It feels like a lot of the older members are well established and dont feel the need to post as much content as they previously did (Businesses maturing & not as much to report, reaching ages where they aren’t as fixated on spending 80-100 hours a week in a new industry). Then we also have a massive amount of new members on the forum creating a lot of noise. We’re missing the presence of that middle ground. People who are doing great new things which have only really gained traction in the last year or two.
I’m guilty of this and I know of others too. We have sought each other out and communicate on a daily basis but not always on the forum due to the level of noise involved. Instagram, WhatsApp and Slack/Zoom are where I’m more active to be completely honest.

Also, another poster mentioned that he found it hard to distinguish between people who are killing it at business and the new members of the forum. He probably explained this badly by suggesting that they get an exclusive section, but there is a genuine difference in who is responding to the threads now (and the quality of those responses) vs when I joined the forum and up until roughly a year/year and a half ago.

Just my two cents.

I plan to be a part of the solution.

This reminded me of when I worked in the oilfield and was living in Norman Wells, NWT for a little while.

Its population is around 800 people, so most people there know each other and life would be difficult if you weren't polite to everyone you met and didn't try to get to know them (I did get kicked out of town eventually...but that's another story ).

Of course you smiled at everyone, but when you passed someone driving, you always waved, or gave the peace sign. If you didn't it was considered rude.

So I get back to Edmonton after being there for a while and start waving at people while I'm driving around (just habit by that point). Eventually someone gave me the finger....oh right, I'm back in 'Deadmonton'.

It seems that the city does drain the soul.

When I walk around Milan, the only people who smile back to me are women around 40-50 years old, guess I'm that charming lol.

When I walk around my town (around 12k people) I get way more smiles back, from anyone. Except young girls

The Italian government approved a bonus called "babysitter bonus", so that people who work all day and can't offload their children to schools (as schools are/were still closed) can get some money to hire a babysitter.

All is well (arguably), until you realize that you can get the money even if you are leaving your children with your parents, their grandparents.

What's so bad about this? For starters, it is free money to families that clearly won't pay their elders for the service.

But the worst part is who actually benefits from this: retired people, and people who had the luxury to not have to move away from their parents, which generally indicates that they didn't need money, and thus didn't need to move. And what about those people whose parents are dead?

Who is going to pay for the money? Naturally, the younger people who work and actually produce for the country. So the richer people get more money, while the poorer / more unlucky people get less money, as they have to prove they are hiring a babysitter.

I'm not against welfare and supporting people who actually need help, but this is yet another example of the government gifting money to people who absolutely don't need it.

We already are in massive debt and we squander money like this. But god forbid if I try to take a 10k loan to start a business.

I'm "too young" (when do I stop being too young and turn barely young? I'm 28), there are "not enough money around", "the times are uncertain". Oh, but we had the millions / billions to enact this bonus.

Sales tax in Germany was temporarily reduced from 19% to 16% starting today until the end of the year.

Businesses here are forced to include the sales tax in prices shown to consumers. So, if you leave the gross prices the same, it's an instant 2,6% increase in revenue.

It's funny that they try to frame this as a "value-added tax" / VAT in the propaganda, while everyone knows that the government adds no value at all to anything.

But that decision is up to you.

Didn't know where to post so let's share it here :)

I just did my FIRST call with a potential client. The first time I talked with someone from the US which is amazing since I'm more close to Europe and the ability to provide value for people all around the world is insane!!

My main focus was to provide as much value as possible for free. I exploded him with so much useful info haha.

The first time I pitched someone for hourly rate with DOLLARS. Getting my first DOLLAR online for my skills seems very achievable now.

I felt I'm very close to make him my client and it might even happen soon.

Forgot to record the call and I have some things to improve.
I was too much board and I might even gave him too much knowledge.
I felt I created a good connection and he related to things I said, he also told me he is thinking about my offer, which is not a lot but it's better than the nothing I had yesterday.

I have some experience with cold approach, not specifically with getting money but with people in general so this is why I feel it went relatively well.

It feels amazing to finally make all the theories I read about come to life and making my financial goals look even more possible.

Sorry about the grammar mistakes, I was writing this fast and I don't want to fix it haha :)

Wearing a mask on TV is a bad move for him in a televised age in which presidents must have good hair and no facial hair. But he wants the lockdown to end to avoid mail-in voting fraud, so he's advocating mask use. Maybe he still takes hydroxychloroquine preventatively, rendering PPE superfluous.

I'm anxious but also excited, however this time I'm setting my expectation low to not get disappointed

How'd you go?
