Have you only read TMF ? Also read UNSCRIPTED . I remember it helped me with optimism because it clarified many questions and removed objections that I had after reading TMF .

Also, dive deeper into those thoughts. They are very vague and that is the only thing that makes them powerful. Break them down into more concrete points. Ask "Why?" ten times. Go through the very basic self-help exercises.

Thank you for your response I appreciate it yes I read them both as I understand I should write them down and ask why they come into my mind?

Most self help books have exercises like thinking about what you have to offer, what the worst case scenarios are for taking action, how to figure out your vision and mission etc. I think you need to go through such exercises to break out of the thinking patterns that you have established.

Why should you give up? Why is this not for you? You should be able to be a lot more specific.
Are you stuck in a day job and can't escape? Do you think you are not creative enough? Are there any other commitments holding you back? Are you just considered shy and have heard that you might not be the kind of person who can lead other people?

The two books give you everything you need to come up with a basic plan. Why does that not help with confidence?
Answering such questions should help replace the current thoughts with more helpful ones. That is what I am trying to say.

Check out Mindset 101 3-Part Class
It's a free 3part course that I found very useful.

Use can use a little trick of adding the word YET no your negative self-talk.
"I am not good enough... YET."
Also you can use your negative thoughts as a trigger to remind you that it's time to think a couple uplifitng thoughts.

Keep your head up. Everybody has negative thoughts to some degree. It's something we all have to learn to handle.

Thank you for your Quik response Uhm yeah I'm currently working in a job only to pay the bills and uncover opportunity in that space and indeed sometimes I feel like I am stuck and can't move
strange thing is that example I had to clean a space where It was a tough cleaning because I needed to apply pressure to clean the floor
and had 2 big rows left before even preforming this task I was loaded with limiting thoughts like well this is a tough and long task and I am tired while not even touched the cleaning brush and am not in the mood for this suddenly I had a handful reasons to quit the task and give up instead I said to my self I am the type of person who loves cleaning and continued and finished the task was this a good approach? after that, I was proud of my self as you see my mind each time I try to achieve something it gets in the way with defeating thoughts and sometimes I picture it in my mind and all of sudden I think that I am a crazy person and then see a vision in my mind that I fight somebody
or a thought pops up in my head that says your an emotional wreck or a thought that says your a lazy bum
OR like well this Fastlane and financial independence journey is to hard forget it you cant do it
I am sorry to waste your time with this

Yeah, think I am starting to see where you are at. Tough spot to be in, where theory just makes things more confusing.

I might sound like a broken record, but one book that I would recommend is "So Good They Can't Ignore You". It goes well with TMF and UNSCRIPTED and provides a different angle. It provides more pointers on the importance of the commandment of Entry.

There is also "The War of Art". I have not read that particular book, but other books by the author which also focus on resistance. Basically the theory is that resistance comes up when you are on the right track. A similar observation is documented in "A Mind For Numbers". The hypothesis is that you feel like you are stupid and know nothing right before the revalations are about to strike.

I am torn when it comes not not taking action vs. actions not being CENTS compatible. I don't envy you. But my advice is dreaming and planning what a better future could look like and assuming that the theory in UNSCRIPTED can get you there.
I personally have a profound history with misery and hate my life ... I feel like I still have not had a proper "F*ck This Event". A part of me thinks that the belief that a "F*ck this event" brings is the missing piece. I have not managed to build the conviction I need artificially either.

I know what you mean. I experienced the same thing in my early 20s and still do on occasion. The biggest thing that helped me was running. I made it a habit about seven years ago and aim for 5-6 days a week. It's amazing how it calms your mind. I think it's a combination of being away from my phone, being in nature and getting some demons out. Just a few days ago I felt this stress and some bad thoughts creeping up, went for a run and immediately felt better.

For the first few weeks, it's hard to motivate yourself. But then you make it a habit and start to look forward to it.

Good luck man, I hope things improve for you.

It’s totally understandable, you're not alone. The mind can be like a broken record sometimes! It tends to be programmed with all the “stuff” we’ve been exposed to in our lives. And then we have to work twice as hard to release all that gunk. I like @Andreas Thiel suggestion which is to ask yourself “why?” 10 times when you come up against a negative wall.

Some other things that may help is to remind yourself that you are a work-in-progress. None of us are “finished” beings. What you think and do today will pave the way to the “you” of tomorrow. So when you feel the stress or anxiety, try some deep breathing and focus on something in front of you to centre yourself.

Bring in nature or running like @Peal suggests is also very helpful.

I find being near and touching trees is extremely grounding. And once the anxious feelings go down a little, try refocusing on taking a positive action. Taking clear and focused action can help override the stuckness and bring in freshness and at the same time it boosts your confidence. Like you did with the cleaning example!

Using affirmations can be very helpful. Remember that negative thoughts are really just affirmations too on a loop, so you can consciously override them with affirmations that make you feel better and then take action. That will keep your momentum moving forward towards where you want to go. Good luck!

hi there! its normal to have negative thought whats wrong is to entertain them. thoughts are well aligned with how u view things...take a positive view n not a negative one. see problems n challenges as an opportunity to become a better problem solver. read inspiration books they help too! keep yourself busy with positive vibes....remember an idle mind is the devil's workshop. also examine how u spend your time, we are what we are n what we think we are coz of the habitual things we do, the company we keep n our enviroment! all the best!

Simple, you don't!

Sit down and close your eyes, just let the thoughts run through your head and observe what's going on in your mind. Accept them, acknowledge them and deal with them.

The more you ''fight'' your own mind the more you will lose.

Eventually you should be able to replace those thoughts with positive ones, it will take alot of time!

I have a short and quick solution who have well helped me, to deal with bad ideas. It was given to me by a personnal coach during my depression and it surprisingly help (I was litteraly submerged by falacious ideas all day-long)

It's simple: it is a dead-end trying to discuss or negotiate with them, because they will infinitely argue. Instead of that, speak to them like their was persoons, and say "I have listened to you, thank you for trying to help me AND I will do better."

With that and time you can cristallyze your ideas and they will "calm down" and be less intrusive. I must say I wasn't convinced by this kind of methods or "live coach bullshit" but this have helped me real.

Madman,

Thats a tough spot to be in and to feel. We've all been there at some time, some more than others. I struggle with this a good bit IF I get off my routine. For me it's all about routine, routine, routine. The less free time I have to sit with any thoughts the better. Don't get me wrong, you'll still have all these thoughts, but if you have a routine in order you just move to the next indicated step no matter what. Over time you loose time and energy focusing on the negative because your routine will bring positivity to your life. Get up at 4-5am every single day, workout daily, write your daily goals, and just keep grinding. Eventually it will start to help. Also, check out Tim S. Grover "Relentless". Might be good, might not. Helped me tremendously to let go of my personal doubts and get back to work.

OK you are having negative thoughts and feelings. What is the cause of those thoughts? Why do you feel that way? Is it unrealized expectations? You are not where you want to be in life?

I would analyze where you think you want to be. I would really think about why you want to be there and what you have to give up to be there. I would make sure that where you want to be is totally your want for you, not because someone is there.

If you see stuff on the internet, Instagram, YT, wherever and compare yourself to them you will never be happy. Your little voice will always be saying "I should be....." You cannot live your own life comparing yourself to others.

I would suggest digging deep into your goals, dreams, and whys. Once you figure out your real goals you are going to work on I would make the plan to get there. You will have to work, learn, and change to reach that goal. It will cost you something, comfort, rest, security.....

Once you have a plan with deadlines begin executing. While you execute you journal, write it down, feelings, plans, things you did, results of things you did . Compare yourself today to where you were yesterday. Compare yourself to only you. Work on improving you everyday in some way. Read something, do something, learn something every day. Do a monthly review to see where you have changed. When the bad thoughts creep up then you have ammo and proof to shut it up. The more successes you have the better you can handle this. Small successes count and build momentum.

You will still have to work and may have to do crap jobs to get where you want. But if you have a plan and are working on it you are taking control of your life.

If I am off the mark, sorry. You can disregard this advice.

If I am on the mark then get busy. It is not easy but you are worth it.

I wish you well.

What I define as negative thoughts are much more sinister than yours, unless you have left something unsaid, due to language barrier or whatever.

It sounds like you lack confidence. If that is the case, you simply need to start accomplishing goals. Nothing less nothing more. It’s simple. Accomplishing goals will grow your confidence, and from there you will be able to tackle bigger and more formidable goals and obstacles.

If we’re talking sinister thoughts, know that you are a descendent of a higher power, and you reign over evil and darkness. I don’t know what your beliefs are, and this may sound like hoodoo bullshit to you, but know that dark energies and entities do exist. You are fully capable of telling them to leave, in as harsh a tone as you are accustomed. Don’t be afraid.

Not sure why no one has suggested it, but an extremely effective method that has studies on it working is cognitive behavioral therapy. Worked for me, all the self-help and business books never did. But I guess they work for some people.

It depends how severe and obsessive these thoughts or feelings get I suppose.

It depends how severe and obsessive these thoughts or feelings get I suppose.
thankyou all for your answers and advices an advice I am going to take at heart and act on them

Helped me tremendously to let go of my personal doubts and get back to work.
thanks i will check that out brother i experienced this to when busy doing preforming physical activity
then the thoughts are suddenly lesser

I wish you well.
a little part of it is that I am on a dead road and the second is that it comes up with everything
and indeed I give up comparing my self with others that helped to I need to dig deep into my goals and dreams totally agree

It sounds like you may benefit from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). I'd look into it.
thanks is it possible to do the CBT online a youtube channel you know or a course ?

Concentrate not only on your goals, but on your vision as well. There is an amazing Motivational channel on youtube, which can help you a lot in my opinion. I used to listen to the videos of that channel when I was feeling unmotivated and sad. After listening to them I became literally fearless. Here is the link

Check it out brother. Good luck ;)

I feel like I am stuck and can't move

This is Frustration. Frustration is an exciting feeling. Your brain believes you can be doing better than you are currently doing. The solution is within reach but what you're currently doing isn't working. Do something different. The fact that you are reaching out here is good....you are doing something different.

Everyone gets negative thoughts. It's what you do after you think that 'negative' thought that matters. I've trained myself to do this. ie. I thought, "there's nowhere for me to do pullups." I immediately say out loud "That's bullshit !". That puts me into the problem solving mode. And yes, I found a place to do pullups.

Do NOT focus on the 'negative' thoughts. The neg ones will most likely always come....that's ok.

I had to clean a space where It was a tough cleaning because I needed to apply pressure to clean the floor
and had 2 big rows left before even preforming this task I was loaded with limiting thoughts like well this is a tough and long task and I am tired while not even touched the cleaning brush and am not in the mood for this suddenly I had a handful reasons to quit the task and give up

Many times, looking at one big project is so overwhelming many give up or never start. Break it down to smaller parts. One step at a time. For really big projects, I break them down into little parts for 2 reasons. 1) I feel good when I complete a part 2) Over time, it gets done.
