Each week I put a new heavy metal instrumental guitar jam up on YouTube. The entire thing is shot in one take and made up on the spot. I usually have ideas for it but nothing planned / set in stone... with some variable results:

Dude this is sick. Any plans for the channel? You could check out people like RJ Ronquillio for cues, he's just launched a slide guitar course on his website and using YT as lead gen for it.
You could also engage your YT followers on Instagram or twitter so you can have more direct convos with them. Just subscribed! I think your camera is probably good, but if you want to kick things up a notch, spending $50 on fixing lighting and throwing some decorations in the background could go a long way. It would also be nice to hear the backing track a little louder.

Re: thread topic Selling Saturday. I dig it! I don't think TFF members are my core demo, but if anyone has any idea how I should be promoting these dang things, I'd love to hear it. So far I'm just trying to untangle FB ads. I'm leaving my struggles with that in my progress thread in my sig

Suppose you're throwing a party in the Hollywood hills, or in the Southwest, or on the East Coast for that matter. Well, let's go back to the Hollywood hills because this is a story. Let's say you're Rick Dalton, and you have some special people over for a night on the town, and you're throwing a little cocktail hour to get things started, your right hand man Cliff Booth is making delicious blender drinks, and you're ready to serve your guests. Are you going to use those soulless mass-produced corporate barware? NO FREAKING WAY. You're Rick Dalton. You're going to reach for these beauties. Distinctive, original, exclusive. The way it should be. Life is short, serve your beverages in something that makes you smile.

Haha I love the copy. Just read your post from earlier in the thread too.
You should check out cherrico pottery. He carved out a nice niche for himself because he was the "pottery guy inspired by space/science." When I first talked to him, he was just starting out, but the buzz he's gotten around just having that weird niche gets him free publicity AND lets him charge a big premium. I haven't spoken to him in a while, but it looks like his business has really gone nuts!

Thank you Jessie, appreciate that. Yes I'm familiar with Cherrico pottery, he's got a very cool way of adding his personality into the pieces. It's the self-expression, the style, and personality that people buy into. I'm getting to the stage where I can start doing that. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks man! Once I get a good amp sim for my laptop, I’ll start making the videos in cool places and put a bit more action into them!

I’m working on a teaching website at the moment, with some courses on it. I have a growing number of students I teach in person.

You design guitar pedals?? That’s really cool! I hope it does well. The forum has a few guitar players, so you might make a few sales... or get some great advice!

In a fit of rage, Walt breaks through the door of Jacob Nighthorse's office.

"Walt, what the hell are you doing? You can't just barge in here and—"

"Game's over Nighthorse, I have evidence of you talking to Ridges the night of Branch's shooting. You arranged it. You tried to kill my deputy to keep him off the trail of your murder investigation."

"When will you stop with these accusations? The white man always is too eager to convict and kill someone for any petty reason. So typical of you Walt."

"Cut the crap Nighthorse, I've got you dead to rights. You've got one last chance to give up David Ridges before I haul you in on conspiracy to commit murder."

"You're just like the rest of the white men, always looking for an angle. To blackmail people to get the answers you want. David Ridges is a ghost. He resides in the spirit world."

Nighthorse walks towards the mantle, where a tall, handsome vase adorns the shelf.

28309

"You see this vase Walt? It represents the journey of the soul from the body to the spirit world. The brushstrokes of white glaze aim upwards to the sky, where the soul journeys, before becoming transformed into a seed and planted back into the womb of the earth, which is represented by this iron oxide wash over dishwasher-safe and durable stoneware. The shape is contemporary, yet ancient. It is the perfect accompaniment to the modern home, proudly displaying the most stunning and beautiful bouquets. People think time is linear, but it's a circle. And this circle continues to spin through our reality forever, and this vase, fired at cone 6, will last at least 10,000 years, might as well be eternity for you and I. You won't find Ridges, even if you killed yourself and went to the spirit world to find him. He is on his own journey, his own path, and you will never find him."

This is the Nighthorse vase. Rugged, handsome, earthy. The perfect decorative piece to accent your home, whether that be in upstate New York, or Cheyenne Wyoming. Whether you live in a ranch home, or whether you work in a grand office in a casino, this vase will handsomely represent your good taste.

I'm just having a good time with this.

Still saturday just. In Alaska.

Are you throwing money away? Every 10ms of website lag saves you 1% of revenue. Using laggy wordpress? You could be losing thousands of dollars.

I'm offering conversion to higher speed static sites.

I'm also throwing in lifetime email support for the first two fastlaners who sign up.
