Hey Guys.

I'm looking for some advice.

I'm about to explore a business concept in the restaurant industry and I'm trying to find out if there is a saas platform that I could use to test the concept without having to build it from scratch.

I'm looking for a platform that allows one set of users to post images and another set of users can then pay a fee to view the images that have been posted.

Is anyone aware of something like this that already exists?

I was certain there must be a 'pay to view' type software platform out there that could be tweaked to meet requirements - but I can't seem to find anything.

Thanks!

One can use teachable to make a course that has images and people can pay to see those images. The course can later be edited as well.

I am sure it is also possible by using WordPress and some plugins.

Thanks for the reply.

I don't think Teachable lets you create a two-sided platform. If you have a teachable account, you must post the content.

However, I'm looking for a platform that I can use whereby I can have one set of users that publish the content and another set that purchases the content.

I've come across a couple of Wordpress plugins which are geared up to charge viewers of your blog post.

Again though, it seems to be one-sided, meaning I would have to publish the content or develop a piece of software that allows the user to upload it.

Is the first set of users that post content fixed, like employees of a company or so?
Or can anyone be in the first set of users?

If the first set is fixed, you can add them as authors of the wordpress blog. You can have a script that auto-deploys that particular WP setup for an organization.

To make things a little clearer - the first set of users that would be posting the pictures would be restaurants. The service would be free to use for restaurants and I would always be looking to onboard more restaurant users who can instantly upload at least one picture to the platform.

The second set of users would be suppliers - who would pay a fee to view each picture.

So neither of the user types would be employees or connected to the company.

However, for the sake of testing demand for the service, the pictures could be submitted to me and I could publish them online as a temporary test. I suppose that would bring Teachable into the equation as a possible solution.

There are WordPress plugins that allow submitting third-party user content to your blog. You can use it on your blog to get restaurants to submit their pictures. Then add the paywall plugin for suppliers.

Thanks for that! I'll give this a go.

A friend of mine used Membervault for something similar. I am not familiar with it myself, but might be worth to have a look.

Thanks! Do you mind sharing what he used it for? That would give me a better idea of how customisable it is. It looks pretty one dimensional to me and I'm not sure if I'll be able to manipulate it in a way that works with my concept.

I'll give it a go though!

I don't remember exactly, but I think she used it to post content (like pictures) and people on the other end would have the opportunity to purchase them. However, I don't think it would allow a large group of users to post pictures, and another large group of users to purchase them. Not sure though, you'd have to find out yourself
