Limiting beliefs and biases that limit us are always a drag on our forward progress. Identifying and challenging those limits has to be a skill that is honed with practice over time.

How do you identify your limits? What strategies do you use to overcome those limits?

For me I can feel the limits internally. My little voice starts confirming my limits. It tells me that I am risking comfort and "Don't do it". When I hit that point it takes me some time to mull over my plan. I know I will make the call or meet the person but it takes some time for me to develop my plan of action. Usually the results are better than my little voice would have me believe.

What does your process look like?

My process for identifying limiting beliefs sounds similar to yours. When I identify a limiting belief I have a policy of action if I think the outcome is probably worth it. That said, I also have moments when I ask, "Is this a limiting belief or is there a reason I feel this way?"

Am I not getting on that call due to a limiting belief or because I really don't want to work with that client or maybe for some other reason?

What does your process look like for identifying the difference between a limiting belief and what your gut is telling you? A forced decision might have outcomes more negative than acting on a limiting belief. When it comes to issues of "might" I tend to er on the side of optimism, but not always.
