In some week I will release a sharing economy application.

Now i use time to learn how to do marketing.
There are many BS marketers out there.
So I would really appreciate if you can give me course / books recommendations.
Especially when for promoting an application.

Unfortunately my experience isn't very high and I have no partner who can join me, but I am very very willing to learn. If you have any recommendation, where you can say "yes this helped me"
I kindly ask you to share it.

I read last month:
Hooked (very nice, implementing the concept)
Marketing 4.0 (great content but to much theorie right now)
Ca$hvertising (currently reading)

I recommend that you build a checklist of the important concepts as you read those books. The psychological principles underlying any of those books ought to be the same. When it comes to human behavior, practices may change, but behavioral principles do not, so to avoid the trap of reading a ton of books on the same topic, try assembling that checklist of concepts and refining it with every successive book that you read.

Here are some concepts I know that might help in the context of marketing:
Reward/punishment-These two drive all behavior.
Liking/loving tendency-When we like something, we overlook its faults.
Inconsistency avoidance-We try to be consistent with our words. Get a customer to say yes early.
Contrast mis-reaction tendency-Compare your product with an inferior one and the perceived value of your product increases. (Of course ensure that you're offering actual value to meet expectations)
Social proof-Show them how everyone is using your product. People look to the masses for cues on how to behave.
Curiosity tendency-Make people curious
Authority influence-Incorporate authority to add credibility to your claims (e.g. Dr. XXX recommends this)
Reason respecting tendency-Present some reasons for using your product.
Availability heuristic-Give them some examples of the product working for others how they'd want it to work for them

These are some examples from my checklist. Hope the idea helps organize your learning. Your attitude to learn seems right, so I trust that you'll be successful! Good luck!

Seems like he actually makes millions selling courses on making money. Uses that to finance his software. So while he may eventually make a lot with his software, that is not how he makes his $$ right now I'm betting.

But yes, he knows how to sell. Mostly to low hanging fruit it seems like

First of all thank you for your answers ans special thanks to ProcessPro for the detaild answer.

Usually read the books in kindle or google play, and make notes of course. Ca$hvertising is definitely a book have to read more than one time.

My current Situation is, I don't know how to get many users with low budget. The application is sharing economy so this means the user experience raises the more users using the app.

I will definitely use habit creation. Like descripted in Hooked. But for now my biggest question is how to find new customers. When I solve this problem i guess i will look up for increase my knowlege in the rest. This is the first time for me creating a project like this. I'm optimistic but also have a bunch of questions in my brain.
