You might still have a chance to buy it at around $900-800. There's bound to be a correction.

With South Korea being 10% of ETH trades, and South Korea getting ready to BAN crypto, there's bound to be a selloff but I probably won't buy into those adverse conditions.

The reason high profile posters like him have disabled private messages is because they really don't want tons of unsolicited private messages. What ever you have to say to him you should be able to ask in the public forum as you don't know him personally. Everybody might be able to learn from your question.

With or without South Korea banning it, it still needs a correction I feel.

The Korea news is interesting, but the crash prices seem to have recovered a fair chunk already.

What was Bitcoin a few weeks ago? $20,000+ or so? Now look at it.

The market is definitely bear. Near a $T in market cap to $686M.

I don't think Bitcoin has quite bottom'ed out yet either. I will admit, it's done some really weird things since the futures came on board. Whether that actually has or had any effect on Bitcoin, not sure, but I can say shortly after; Bitcoin took a major nose dive in market dominance where major money was being made in alts.

All that to say; hopefully you're safe in fiat until things a bit more clear. Right now; people are scrambling to try to grab low prices.. but I am not quite convinced yet that they are actually just trying to catch falling knives.

I have my buy orders set for Bitcoin at $10.5k lol. Will it reach? Maybe.. I do know one thing about crypto. When it's bulls, you play with a major upside it could take off running 40% at any moment. When it's bears, you play with a major downside it could tank 40% at any moment.

Best not to play imo.

I would differ. When others are scared, you can take advantage of the market, especially on a long enough time frame.

If you're already in, just hold. If you're buying, buy to hold.

EDIT: I have a high risk threshold, and I'm disciplined. Day traders should probably bench themselves.

Do you all just hold? Yesterday I thought about selling my VEN at the high of 7$ and rebuy when it is low again but I didn't, now it is at 6$ again and I kinda regret it. However it could have also just got even higher. Now I am thinking of selling it to realize some money (bought it at 4$) but then it probably rises again and I am disappointed again.

How do you deal with such situations?

FYI; I am now back in the market. Starting with XRP and XLM for right now. Going to attempt to jump on various pops up of different coins as they slowly come off the bottom.

Just hold. VEN is a good coin that will keep growing. I find that people that try to buy and sell like you describe lose more money.

Depends if you're in it for the long run or need that cash now. Did you invest in a project that you believe will change the world? Or did you invest just to earn a quick buck?

VeChain is the only crypto I hold. Why? Because it isn't built on pure hype and is changing the way business operates. DNV GL (a world leading certificate authority and business certification service provider, with $20B+ yearly revenue and provides services for Coca Cola, Shell, IBM etc..) will be using VeChain as their sole blockchain. I've got my node, but will keep buying at every opportunity.

Invest in projects that have a real use-case and you can hold with confidence.

Thanks for your answers! I do think that VEN has a lot of potential. However I thought this does not exclude earning some money on the way to the top if there is a chance to. I thought about rebuying when it falls off a bit.

First thing I look up when I am researching in the deeps of CoinMarketCap is social Network activity... And these guys are doing everything right it seems!

This and that AI has a trend similar to when Biotech took of a few years ago seems to make it an interesting Investment.

Now they even have a partnership with Wanda and Qtum, I guess that searching for some info that confirms that would make them legit.

Overall Crypto market cap crawling back up as well.

I've looked into it more and I've decided not to invest in them. The main net is not going to be launched until 2019. I'll wait to see if any changes will come and will keep up to date with them.

I got back into ETH last night with my original projection that this sucker is going to have it's "day" soon. I will likely sit on this for a few days going into early next week.

I've said this many times; but there's two types of corrections:
1) Corrections to over-priced coins (which we normally think of)
2) Corrections to under-priced coins (Eth is due)

EDIT: Watch for cup and handle formation possible in the next hours before making entry.

Why did you buy it? Why did you think it was a good purchase?

And did something related to that reason change since you bought it? If not, why sell?

It's simple -- if you don't have a good reason for buying something, don't. Because if you don't know why you're buying, you clearly won't know when to sell.

If you know what you're doing it wouldn't be a bad idea to short VEN right now. You could effectively double your stack (judging by how the price has fluctuated this past week). That said, if you can't tolerate the emotion and risk its by far safest and smartest to hold.

Obviously the market tanked (or tanking).. but this is an annual cleansing. Just a bit more dramatic as numbers are higher comparatively.

With that said; we are nearing the bottom between now and the next 24 hours. If you have cash or wanted to get in; go ahead and get it loaded and ready to pull the trigger.

If you are stuck; just hold, it will get better here in the next 2 following weeks..

EDIT: Also; my advice would be to only buy "blue chip" crypto at this time. Bitcoin, Eth, Ripple.
