Hi there, this is my first post in the FLF.

I'm 21, working a dead end job in IT, and have a burning desire to help other people.

It's a privilege to meet everyone here, thank you taking the time to read this post. It's an extremely terrifying thing for me to do this, but I have to take the first step.

Would like to share the effects of MJ's books on my life, both physically and psychologically after just 2 weeks.

I cannot sleep, think, reason, or do what I used to anymore. After reading so many other books, trying to find the answer as to what I was doing wrong, I've finally found it. I always knew there was something, something wrong in life, but could never point out what it was.

Was it because I have no degree? My parents separated when I was 12? My family and friends are just more privileged and lucky? I'm just not good enough? I was bullied my entire life and too scared to do anything about it? It's just because life is unfair? I'm not "doing what I love"? I'm a hardcore introvert? I'm stuck in a job I absolutely hate?

A big fat giant NOPE to all of that.

The reason I'm where I am now, is because I decided to not do anything about it, and just let life play out. "Good things come to those who wait, right?"

I'll be completely open about it.
I was hoping my dad would come back and rescue my mother, sisters and me.
Someone will be generous enough to come help us
Something good will happen eventually
It'll be ok, despite the political unrest in our country
I'll get promoted to a better position than desktop support
I'll find a better job and earn more money
Something magical will happen and suddenly fix all our problems

Well, guess how that turned out? Yep, exactly as you'd expect, living a mediocre life, like everyone else, just barely short of drowning in financial chains. Stuck in a 9-5, my ambitions and dreams screaming to be heard and given love and care, but just barely surviving the losing game being played. Getting paid peanuts for the most valuable thing in the world, TIME.

Since I've started reading Fastlane and Unscripted , I've had my first entrepreneurial failure trying to sell cosmic art posters I've made. An Orange Gumball.

Great. One step closer to finding that "Golden Gumball".

What did I learn?

1. You cannot create a need for a product. If people don't want it, it won't get sold regardless of how much you spend on Facebook advertising

2. Sales funnels and "secret sales hacks" are not going to make any difference

3. Go and find the pain points someone is experiencing, first before you try creating a product.

MJ was right all along, create actual value for people, don't try to force something down other people's throats just because you think it's a cool product. If your product solves a problem, people will come to you instead of the other way around. You won't have to chase the money cat.

The point I'm trying to make is, I've had it with mediocrity. I am not going to stop trying until I find a way to help millions of people with their problem.

No more wishing, no more waiting for someone to come rescue us, no more taking other people's opinions about "getting my head out of the clouds"

It is time to make a real difference in my life, and it starts with writing this post. Let it be the starting line in my race to reach the fastlane.

Thank you so much for reading this, you guys keep me motivated seeing how it IS possible to reach true success, by helping others.

And thank you MJ, you've made a really big impact in my life, and have given me the keys to a future Lamborghini.
