I want a couple of things done to this photo...

Remove the background. Change the black top to match the car color. And maybe turn the resulting image into line art.

Is this some thing that I should plan on paying for or is it easy enough to ask a favor for?

If you saved it at the step before you dropped the acid, I'd love a copy. :)

sure, but i think it's has a bit lower quality than original because i didn't pay 3.99$, i just took a screenshot of the preview on the site which is a lower render. Maybe for line art purposes it doesn't matter though.

also without the green background, there's tiny tiny bit of green around the edges.
i used pixlr.com, magic wand tool to remove green background.

I would bet someone who is good with Photoshop can work their magic on this one. It might be good to go to Reddit and check out a photoshop subreddit. I'm sure someone would gladly do it for you for free.

A 10 second search leads me to believe that a subreddit called "PhotoshopRequest" might be helpful.

Jon, you've provided enough value to the forum, figured i'd take this on.

one is just the car and three line art versions. Click on the first car and then go through them with the arrows as they're quite different from each other and you have to look at it at full size. I even included the antennae. @jon.a

Thanks, I had to open a new account. It needs to age for a day and I need 10 karma points. How do I get karma points?

Looks like a couple of you beat me to it while I was poking around in photoshop, but here's a quick stab at it:

1967 T Bird 268.png This is as far as I got because I started laughing too hard when I accidentally deleted the wheels. I used the Instant Alpha tool on my Mac along with a little tool apparently called the-wheels-are-missing-because-you-parked-it-in-the-ghetto.

Karma are likes you receive from others. It is the up arrow to the left of every comment. Sounds like you'll have to comment through other posts and give people time to give you upvotes. It's a way of providing value.

You can go to any subreddit to do it so it might be faster to go to a higher populated subreddit where more people are looking at the comments. And the earlier you get in the conversation the more opportunity there is for people to see your comment.

Sent you some rep. Unfortunately, the background is black when I copy these images.
They're .pngs with a transparent background, so if you're copying them into another format that doesn't handle transparency, like a .jpg, then it fills in the background with something. I can add a background of whatever color you'd like though. Here they are as .jpgs with white backgrounds1967-T-Bird-268-6.jpg 1967-T-Bird-268-5.jpg 1967-T-Bird-268-4.jpg :
