Wow this is stupid. You'll just end up wasting time. You won't be talking to billion dollar companies. You'll likely to talking to small business/consumers all day long and earn near minimum wage so the article itself is a lie. What if your idea doesn't involve taking phone calls but an optimized website? What if the idea doesn't involve trash pickup but a product?

This thread is dumb. There is a marketing CRM company here in Austin that sells crappy marketing tools to small businesses. They hire anyone with a pulse and a college degree. That's gonna be your average entry level B2B sales job. Not making million dollar deals... but it looks like you're getting rich selling webinars on how to be a salesman on that website you linked.

Looks like you're coming here to promote your website that trains people how to work a slowlane job. We're not really the market you should be advertising to in my opinion.

Your website is just a big old affiliate magnet.

You got sponsored content all over the place.

You got three other blogs connected to this. I must admit the cross-sell and up-sell efforts displayed in your other blogs are pretty impressive.

And your products cost up to $400 (I didn't browse further).

There is a marketplace for you to advertise your products and services, if you wish.

But other than that - welcome to the forum.

Hey @Kak and @Vigilante here's his trade knowledge you asked for....

Haha nice trade secrets from the safety of a job.

He's just a pussy... The world needs pussies.

Also, I agree with the don't be a loser part. Make some money now. I actually like ramen.

It's funny, because I just did the math (which I've never really bothered with before) but I've did roughly $10 million in sales last year, B2B, for someone else.

But I'm still starting my own company (albeit not in a basement, those flood in Florida). Why? Because why make millions for someone else when I can do it for myself?

Your thinking is flawed if you're going to come here and push your affiliate garbage on us.

I'm going to introduce to everyone the career path that will put you in the battle room, making the million dollar deals, without actually being there and taking the risk.

I'd also argue that this is better than owning your own little basement web development firm, and one of the ways to start learning how a lot of these huge companies sell to eachother.

If you're already a millionaire superstar feel free to ignore this post.

Benefits:

1. You learn to sell (to big corporations I might add). The company will mentor you. This is because the better you are, the more you sell, and the more you add to the companies bottom line.

2. You make a good amount of money, for those who are trying to build something you don't have to eat ramen.

3. You get exposed to real problems that are worth millions, if not billions of dollars to fix. Most of the deep industry problems no one really sees until they work in it for a while.

4. The network of people you meet is top notch. Lots of smart people that are too risk adverse to actually go off on their own.

What companies do you target?

If there's more interest I can post more. But that's it for now.

Of course the goal is to own your own firm. However, until you get there this is not a terrible idea.

"basement web development firm".... is that swipe at our boy Fox?

Also, your list is for the best companies to work for - in 2015. Have I stroked out, or isn't it 2017?

1/10 would not read again. You don't even have remarketing pixels in place on the site. Even that clown that ganked MJ's shit a few weeks back was using remarketing.

You gotta up your game son.

Well, that was a terribly written article I tried to write up late.

I expected to let my terribly written article fall into the forum abyss but instead everyone attacked me with pitchforks.

I'll edit it out haha.

First, have you read the Millionaire Fastlane ?

Because you've come to a forum that's sole purpose is to encourage people to start their own business and NOT work a job.

You definitely hit the wrong target here.

That's like you joining a Vegan cooking forum and sharing "Ten best ways to cook venison this hunting season" and being confused as to why no one likes your article.

I read it a few years ago.

I was trying to get the point across that if you need to make money while getting your venture going, working it B2B sales instead of working whatever job you currently are is not a bad idea.

I support ventures, but I also have seen many fail and some succeed, and people work while trying to get their venture going.

So instead of starbucks for rent., you can sell some stupid CRM system and gain skills.

I'll walk myself out with my terribly written article.

How ignorant do you have to be to think that business ideas only arise out from working a B2B sales job? You can get a business idea from working as a carpet installer or just have it pop in your head. No need to be innovative either. You can become fastlane by starting a construction company and running the business very well. Most people who aren't fastlane already have a job.

I once got an idea sitting on the toilet. Turns out it was total shit.
