Every week we get a bunch of new threads from people who start something and want advice, or have questions about their existing business.
"I'm starting a new ecommerce website! The product is I won't tell you but I have gazillion questions I need answers to!"
"I ran into problems! Here's whole list of them and I want you guys to give me some advice! I won't tell you exact details though - guess yourself!"
Basically, all these threads are discussions about hypothetical businesses: "Let me give you the best advice on business I haven't seen!".
Now he must really make more hypothetical dollars!
But jokes aside.
If you ask for advice and not willing to disclose any vital details, I just won't give you any. And no other successful entrepreneur will.
"But why?! I though you can give me a general advice!"
Because details change everything.
For you business is x+y=z. You want it simple.
If you think that business is that simple: you're violating The Commandment of Entry.
Every successful entrepreneur knows that devil is in the details.
It's not about what you do and "how" you do it. A wantrepreneurial delusion that you just sell X to Y and voila you're on the fastlane!
It's about who you do it to and how exactly it's executed.
What is good in situation A, is bad in situation B. In same niche, with same product.
The reason why you won't get an advice from anyone but the same kind of wantrepreneurs like you, is because hypothetical businesses never make real money.
Wasting time on assumptions is poor man's trait. Asking someone to assume for you is disrespectful to their time.
If you want something practical, give something practical to work with.
None of us is interested in stealing your pennies..*sorry* stealing your great idea worth millions.
