I was still in engineering school, trading time for grades and a future paycheck — classic Slowlane trap. The fear of stepping into the unknown was suffocating.
Two years later, I landed my engineering job. Comfortable salary, but still stuck. Same fear. I promised myself I’d figure it out… eventually.
In the meantime, I chased a different dream: owning a horse. That journey forced me to face fears head-on — dealing with uncertainty, money, responsibility. It was uncomfortable, but it built real confidence. Turns out, the real enemy wasn’t lack of ideas… it was fear.
Horses got me aligned and more courageous, but they didn’t give me a Fastlane business. Then something clicked: I reconnected with an old childhood passion — art.
I dug up my teenage drawings and thought, “Damn, I was actually good.” Then the idea hit: What if I started creating again? What if I built a business around it? What if I could go Fastlane with art?
So I started painting. Guess what my first (and current) theme is? Horses.
Me with my very first one — jumped straight into a big canvas because why start small when the dream is Fastlane? Started scared, but started anyway.
I was scared shitless to put myself out there, but I launched an Instagram account anyway. It’s not viral. It’s not perfect. But it’s execution. I’m learning social media, content creation, and consistency — skills that transfer to any business.
How do I make it scalable (and Fastlane)?
You might think I’m crazy for betting on art. I say it’s crazier to stay in the Slowlane and never try.
If you have an idea — any idea — start scared. Take the first imperfect step. Execution beats perfection. Who knows? It might unlock more than you ever imagined.
