I'd stay away from his DVDs - but his VHS is legit.

Edit:
Seriously - do you want to commit to trading penny stocks? Or do you have a different goal. If you do - might as well learn from someone who has success with it.

If you're just chasing the money and not committed to one route - don't.

Either way - dont expect a step by step guide to riches. Put in the work and commit to working for it.

buying penny stocks is as much a skill as going to the local shop and buying lottery tickets, you should learn skills that will assist you in the value creation process.

I see you're new here, have you read the millionaire fastlane ? it's a good start.

Here is what one customer of Sykes had to say on the Ripoff Report:

"I have been following timothy sykes for awhile and came to a complete conclusion about him and his "legacy pennystock trader".

No you will not get rich from buying his OVER PRICED DVD's or "Milliondollar student challenge" COST 55000 (Interview by Phone)

Yes Timothy Sykes is a real person that, MAKES 90% of his money on PROMOTION.

Yes Timothy Sykes is a promoter and a affliate, He makes more off of you and his affilates (sure trader).

Yes Timothy Sykes has a track record for gains but also many losses "which is apart of the game."

No Timothy Sykes method is not original at all, you can find better ways of investing, HE IS SELLING YOU THE IDEA OF GETTING RICH AND HE KNOWS SUCKERS WILL FOLLOW AND "BUY INTO HIS "EDUCATION PURPOSE ONLY DVD/METHODS."

No Timothy Sykes is not a scam artist, Just taking advantage of the lesser and selling his product NOT KNOWLEDGE.

Please understand all of this before buying anything from him, I have personally watched everyone of his dvds, he is a real person that speaks his mind, great personality."

I always heard about him, but never really researched him because trading penny stocks aren't like the real stock market. It's actually just gambling. His story of a couple thousand to millions is the dream for people who don't want to work for it and just want the reward. That's how he got his popularity I believe.

Just use common logic, if he's so amazingly good at trading penny stocks he'd be ridiculously wealthy. Why would he care about selling you a $300 DVD if that was the case?

Have you ever seen a hedge fund manager selling trading programs? Nope

I'd be very wary if there is a significant enough amount of negative feedback. Most legit and good trading trainers have some free content and low priced stuff you can try before committing to a higher priced product. They also have way more good feedback than bad

Are you just looking at penny stocks or other methods? If you're interested in forex I can recommend an exceptional trainer who is also a very successful trader (very rare) - Google "2nd skies" or "Chris Capre" and try his free content to see if it resonates with you. The technical analysis and mindset material translates across to stocks/commodities - pretty much anything that can be traded using charts.

I haven't really looked into Forex but I've only looked into penny stocks so far.

I don't know much about penny stocks but if you've got limited capital and looking to grow it from trading FX/CFDs/margin trading is another option. You can demo and learn it all for next to nothing (free to begin with). Takes a while but if you want to go this route then it's do-able as long as you are patient and prepared to put in the time (think 10,000 hours) developing pattern recognition, executing trades as business process, work out your performance requirements to meet your income goals etc.

IIRC his method involves shorting pump and dumps, a very questionable practice in my opinion.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
