Someone here gave me advice to look-up someone who done something and then do the same/similar thing..

Well, I found this https://medium.com/business-startup-development-and-more/9663e3bc8ed0

8$ investment turned into 10,000$/month business.. This is something I would like to achive (im still researching how can I do something like this, where I can find legit manufacturer etc)

This is great example of creativity

Impressive accomplishment for that guy to successfully execute multiple crowdfunding campaigns. My question is this:

What is his agenda in offering to give away these secrets? Is he just a nice guy who wants to give away free info? Is he looking to sell some guru course further down the road? Is he trying to position himself as an authority to attract more business in crowdfunding? What's the deal?

He's trying to attract more business just like you said, this is his porftolio,

Anyways he didnt gave away much of a secret, he just pointed the way, he didnt described anything in detail, ideas are cheap, some people even when have everything laid on a plate dont take action (..including me, I have to change this)

When Was The Last Time You Reflected?

We are excellent salespeople. We’re very good at selling ourselves into the belief that we are right, the mentor’s advice is wrong, we are being productive, we will all be millionaires, etc.

When was the last time that you had a truly honest conversation with yourself? Are you really right? Is your mentor’s advice really wrong? Are you really being productive or are you just taking passive action by doing things that don’t translate into acquiring customers i.e. mindless paperwork, spending months to build a website that should’ve been outsourced, learning photoshop to create a logo, etc.

The biggest obstacle between you and your freedom is your ego. Your ego will destroy business relationships, love relationships, financial status…unless you learn to manage it.

It’s good to step back and reflect on your situation once in a while. Ask yourself these questions:

1. What did I do right?

2. What didn’t go so well?

3. What could I have done to achieve a better outcome?

4. Am I taking responsibility? Am I owning my life?

Do you own your life or are you placing the blame on somebody else? Bro, I’ve had plenty of random bad things happen to me. I could blame everything on my lack of a father figure, my former gf who took a bunch of my money, my college degree that I didn’t use, the economy that sucks, etc. The reality is that blaming others for your shitty life does absolutely nothing for you so it’s in your best interest to quit doing that and start telling yourself some empowering stories.

Flip the script that plays in your head. My father wasn’t really there for me so I’m going to do my best to put myself in the position to be a great dad. My former gf took my money and I’m so glad about it because I’ll be much wiser the next time around. The terrible economy is great because now there’s less competitors eating away at the pie. Dude, you can flip the script on almost anything.

Mindset of a warrior, heart of a monk.

I would say that reflection is one of the most powerful keys to freedom. Without reflection, people end up trying the same thing over and over again, hoping that the next time things will be different. Take action daily, reflect and adjust plans as needed. Take action again. Reflect. Repeat.

Get the ice cream…or die trying.

The Evolving Story of Mr. Cracker

I don’t even know where to start, but I feel like this guy Mr. Cracker needs some serious recognition out here on this forum. For those who are new here, he lives in Mexico and was contacted by Vigilante to help source some products for a new business.

Shortly after that, zen******* told me that he could be a great connector to manufacturers in Mexico to help drive down the cost of building my ice cream goods. I told him what I needed and he immediately set forth to find it.

At first he couldn’t find any good quotes for me. The cost was close to what I pay here in Cali, sometimes even higher. I was having some manufacturing issues here in Cali so we ended up pressing further to investigate Mexico a bit more.

Mr. Cracker’s relentless perseverance continued to pull through for me, particularly when he needed to practically stalk this one lady for a response LOL. We are finally on track to manufacturing the ice cream at a better price than in Cali. The details are not set in stone yet, but they look quite nice so far.

He’s driving all over the place for me in search of the answers that can open up the flood gates. I asked him, “Why don’t you just call them instead of driving an hour just to see them?”. His response was, “Because I want to show them that I’m serious”. Guy does not fool around for sure and I'm learning plenty by simply watching him making moves. He’s making phone calls with factories while I’m on the phone at the same time with him. He’s moving, shaking, and baking.

Bottom line, the guy doesn’t give up. It’s awesome. He has the “no bullshit” mindset of an entrepreneur and the strength of an Aztec warrior.

Problems are nothing to this guy. He will do whatever it takes to win.

I’m helping him reach out to companies throughout the United States for his other gig. He wanted to outright cold call the companies, but I am showing him how to do a more warm approach to get better leads.

Guy is amazing, seriously. Cheers to you, Mr. Cracker.

That lady didn't take me seriously, I had to stalk her to get a straight answer.
She's the one stalking me almost everyday now, LOL.

I just want to get some ice cream to fill my red cup! hahaha

I'm just laying the foundation and getting better everyday.

That's the ticket!

Laying a solid foundation is tedious. But once laid it supports you forever.

I was always the one to skimp on putting the bricks in place. Even with legos as a kid I would just stack them up really quick one on top of another without weaving a pattern. The result???

My older brother would push them over with his pinky.

I cringe when I hear someone call themselves a jack of all trades. That's what I used to tell people about myself. Then I realized that I am a master at no trades. And most people don't realize that what they consider a master of something, still has room to grow. So A true master is continuing on the road to an ever deeper mastery for the rest of their lives. END RANT:

Keep doing what you are doing!

What the F&%! Does Take Action Daily Even Mean???

“What does a person like me need to do? When you say "TAKE ACTION" - its very generic to me as that action can mean anything and nothing at the same time...I have no special skills, just an intelligent brain which can grasp things easily...I am scared of not being able to execute either...as I have never done anything like this.

What type of action is "taking action"? I have no idea what to do.

I don't know how to come up with ideas...but have an inclination to want to sell physical products online via e commerce. If "that" market has an offline component to it, start an offline business too...”

To the guy who wrote me this PM, I apologize in advance for using it as a teaching example. I want you to know that there are many who have written me with similar PM’s so I just randomly picked yours to use for no reason.

I don’t know why, but as of late I’ve been receiving an influx of PM’s from people wanting me to give them exact step-by-step instructions for what to do.

Unfortunately, the reality for a true entrepreneur is this: if you follow any step-by-step system, you will ultimately fail in the long run. The masses are looking for the easy to follow system. Look at all those e-books on how to create an ebay business. There is very little opportunity left in that now because there are thousands of sellers on ebay peddling the same stuff bro!

If you want to reach that higher level, you absolutely must stop looking for step-by-step systems and start thinking outside the box. Do stuff that few others are willing to do. This means that you have to get creative.

I can give you a map of where the treasure chest is, but everyone must go in search of their own key. For some, their key is to play professional basketball. For others, it is to sell SEO services. For some, it’s to buy struggling franchises in bulk discounts.

My point is this: the path to freedom is never clearly laid out before you, but what you will find is that if you just do SOMETHING then that little piece of action will FORK into more pieces of action. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. You don't need to know the 990 steps ahead of time, just take the first 10 steps and trust yourself. You gotta have trust in something...miracles, God, Zeus, ice cream, anything.

Look at the IceCreamKid story on this forum. I had ZERO intention of becoming known on here. Last year, I asked zen******* how I could repay him for being a pretty neat dude. His response was, “Leave breadcrumbs behind so other may follow”.

Sheeit I’m a pretty private person so I never like talking about my life in public, but Z said to do it so it had to be done. I wrote a post to thank him here: https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/threads/zen*******-changed-how-i-view-the-world.49457/

I didn’t really have any intention to post anything after that, but a weird thing happened…people started to reach out to me for help. They wanted to learn copywriting, reverse limiting beliefs, discuss their ideas, etc.

At first I didn’t really want to help because it’s very time consuming, but Z said to leave breadcrumbs and people were asking for some so I said sure why not. I didn’t ask for money from anybody, but I started getting cash offers for mentoring right and left from random strangers on the forum that I’ve never even met. I didn’t accept any money though because I felt that it would be a slap in MJ’s face. I just continued helping people out with phone mentoring.

After a while, I started getting noticed by some bigger contributors here and they started reaching out to me offering their help. Had some great phone calls with JackEdwards and hosted an INSIDERS call with him(hilarious guy btw). I honestly believe that I would not be where I am today had it not been for some of their valuable advice.

Just think…it all started because I took action to leave a few breadcrumbs. Did I know that it would evolve into the IceCreamKid story? Hell no.

This is why I am so general when I say take action, because you don’t know where the hell it will take you. I don’t know where it will take you. All I know is that it will take you further than when you sit in your room thinking to yourself all day.

If there really was a simple step-by-step system, I’d probably be following it to the letter and partying on some exclusive island right now LOL.

Reach out to people who are successful in your niche. Study what they do. Try what they do(don't rip them off though like the biophase soap chick). The best thing that you can do is make money right out the door. The 2nd best thing you can do is try, but fail. The worst thing you can do is theorize and read forever about what you can do.

So for now, just do something and trust in yourself. It will fork into more options than you ever thought of. You will get rejected, you will feel pain, you will suck for a while, but trust me you will suck less if you just keep pressing forward.

Again, I am so sorry that I cannot give a step-by-step plan for millions. I am just being real with you and not trying to sell you some pipe dream that entrepreneurship is simple and quick.

Many gurus will try to tell you they have a system that is easy and resists changes in the economy, customer tastes, or Google algorithm updates...but trust me on this, they don't have the best of intentions for you. They will try to appear that they're here to help(and some are damn good at it btw), but they ultimately want your hard earned $$$'s and will offer very little value in return.

If it was truly that easy then all of us would be driving in Lambos. Accept the fact that the road is hard and it will become easier for you to move forward. Stop resisting the fact that it's hard and start welcoming it. You will become stronger for it and begin having visions of 3 Aston Martins and 12 mistresses in your future(reverse the scenario for female entrepreneurs please!).

Get the ice cream.

IceCreamKid,

Awesome last post. I'm not heavily involved within the forum but your post about leaving breadcrumbs couldn't have been more spot on. Not only within this forum, but within all of my endeavors, I have experienced success in unexpected places due to just taking action. Hope to become more involved within this community and will read over more of your posts!

Thanks again,
Clayton

Man I'm glad you post here. It is RARE for me to ever experience actual assistance when learning something like this. Too rare. Thanks for being a guy that says it. I tip my hat to you man, you've made a difference. I'd not dream of asking more from you.

You hear that sound?

No? Thats because I have ZERO entitlement left, zero asking, just peace of mind.
Whatever I will face in my journey, I know I can face it now.
Thanks for that, it was mostly you.

You made biz get to the point where it is worthwhile for me. Made me believe.
Might sound cheesy but business can kinda break your heart, not sure I could have patched it up so well as with the help of you posting here man.

Something is different in me now, and I can see the beauty. (small smile)

(tips hat)

You inspired me, to be a better man.

I loved this post bro, thanks! So many breadcrumbs have been left by a ton of members here. I've been reading between the lines and using a piece of everyone's process to create my own.

I think that's the key, take powerful tidbits from successful people and implement those into your own strategy( Not Copy or Steal).

Another great contribution by ICK. The lessons in this post are golden for those that are truly ready to absorb and apply.

He just threw ice cream everywhere and it's up for grabs!

Yesterday and today I've meet @zen*******'s secret: I have been full of compassion for people, feeling connected and in perfect balance... I hope this doesn't go away soon but if it does, I now know what to look for :)

What a gold mine this thread is, ICK - keep it up, I'm loving it! For some strange reason I thought of you in the ice cream isle the other day at the grocery store LOL! I highly doubt I'm the only one! :p

yeah................... Im drunk right now, I might regret it.. but you know guys, I dont feel this world anymore.. tbh,
I feel like.. whatever I do is pointless. Im poor as F right now, and I dont do anything to be rich to be honest.
Im just mental-masterbating all time (lol).... Its because I dont see much of a point.. I dont know maybe Im too much religious, but even religion says you need money to sustain yourself, and Im... Im just freaking tired of everything. I look for the future in my past, I cant let go of my past. Im kind of obssesed with my past.. I want things to be like they were, and this way im Stuck in the present (that mean - nothingness)
Do someone ever thought/felt this way? that this whole race dont have point? that he just dont belong here? I know it sounds "wierd" but Im really tired of being tired...

That's how I feel when I'm having issues with depression. I'd constantly think about the past, what I should have done, how my life would be different, what the point is of me being here, etc.

The key is to realize that you can't change the past. It's over. Finito. Nothing you can do will change the past (unless you figure out how to travel back in time ;) ).

When I feel like how you feel now - it's a wake up call. I know that it's time to get my vitamin D levels checked, make sure I'm working out regularly, add some structure into my life - do whatever I need to do.

I usually feel that motivation and the urge to create come back as my depression goes away. Then, before I know it, I'm taking action, creating stuff, and really having a blast doing it again.

Damn man I actually admire you a lot for posting this in the public forum because I get daily emails from depressed people in the forum looking for the keys to the kingdom. I've even gotten a few suicide PM's too, it's kinda sad. If only they realized the key was the person looking at them when they're standing in front of a mirror...they don't realize how much power is within themselves and they tell me so many limiting beliefs...

"Hey man don't tell me that age is a BS limiting belief, it's REAL". Tell that to JackEdwards who made millions by age 25.
"I look too young to be taken seriously". Tell that to all the kids who have gone onto Shark Tank.
"I don't have money to start a business". Tell that to all the people who thought creatively enough to start a successful business with nothing.
"I'm too shy".

The list goes on forever.
The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100%-Arnold Schwarzenegger

I know I joke around a lot about being drunk, but it might be best not to drink away your problems bro. They'll fade away for a few hours, but when you wake up from the hangover the problems will still be there so it's best to address them early on before they become major issues.

Im just freaking tired of everything.

The depth of your struggle will determine the height of your success. Instead of fighting it, embrace it and be grateful for the moments of suck. They'll make you stronger.

There is no such thing as a problem. Some people see EVERYTHING as a problem and it takes away all of their power to find solutions. I've never heard of the word problem. All I see are solvable challenges. That's it. End of story. Adapt that mindset and you will bounce back from failure again and again. I bet all of my shiny nickels on that one bro...and if you keep swinging at the plate, you will eventually hit a home run.

Most people try a swing once then conclude that there is no money in a certain niche. Then they bounce to the next idea and repeat that same process. Trust me, I was guilty of it for years LOL. The winners are the ones who dig slightly deeper and stick to one thing to the end. I'm not giving up without a fight, seriously. Gonna give it my all and end up either rich or amazingly broke with some awesome life stories to tell about it.

Focus. Don't just take mindless action, but really focus on executing well. Focus. Take a few steps back to really reflect and think about the shit that you're doing to yourself that ends up holding you back.

I cant let go of my past. Im kind of obssesed with my past.. I want things to be like they were

Tell me, does holding on to your past do any good for you? What would your life be like if you just let go? How would you feel? Do you like that feeling of being free? Hell yea you do.

Celebrate failure. Celebrate the bullshit that life throws at you. There are no problems, only solvable challenges. The pain, the sacrifice, the tears...all of it is there to strengthen specific weaknesses in your character. It teaches you far more lessons than success imo.

Cheers to you for being open and real with it.

You must fail and you must fail fast.

Just let go and throw it all to the wind.

it is normal to feel down at certain periods. I feel down sometimes too, but you have to learn to recognize your pattern and break it, go for a walk, event, date etc. You feel like you are in an urgency right now, like you are in a race against time and this probably makes you feel lost. Maybe you can't see the light right now but keep adjusting your attitude and your daily actions. Try to focus on doing "only 1 worthy thing a day".

this is how our mood normally goes, just like the alternative current; you might be on the lower end right now but you have to know this is temporary. Use anger at your advantage to take proactive action and to break through fears.

The picture really does say it all. It still sucks for me. My business is FANTASTIC, but I'm still waiting to launch because some part inside of me has to be filled up first and I feel like if I don't solve that feeling here and now, I'll take it with me (and I really don't want that).

Diligence is the biggest cure. The next best cure is being carefree and creative and killing the sidewalker within one papercut at a time.
I spend a lot of time "sitting", and flipping through biz plans, it is kinda like therapy to me to refine process and product. I also spend time talking to key partners and guys in the scene, as well as customers. In the back of my mind I wish for change a little bit, but in my actions, I know that I can't wish for it, I just have to catch flight with the weight I'm carrying.

Zenfocus posted here several months ago, telling everyone how his virtues really did help his business and that following his heart left him feeling a huge sense of self accomplishment because he didn't cop out. You need integrity to do your best, but you also need to realise that, integrity births a lot of bitterness, angst and fear. So it is not enough to have integrity alone, you also need generosity (even when its hard).

I recently gave away a months cash etc, I did it cuz, I wanted to be generous when I felt f#cked, cuz I was done with the mindgames and trivial jibberjabber of all these fearful people. Cash doesn't matter, cash FLOW matters, and flow needs attitudes to keep it afloat, and FEAR is not the only strategy.

Positive focus really helps you get through the tough times. Generosity, patience and heart takes you home.

If I Lost Everything And Had To Start All Over With Zero Ideas And Zero Dollars…

I would start a religion. For those of you who know what’s up, the Catholic Church is the #3 largest land owner in the world, possessing 177 million acres of land throughout the globe.

Okay in all seriousness, I wouldn’t start a religion because I’d get tired of guys like KLaw constantly asking me to show proof of my product. It’s really hard to prove that there is a man in the sky watching over us making sure that we will descend into the fiery pits of hell to hang out with Satan if we commit sin.
problem-child_l2.jpg

If your goal is to create a business instead of a religion with zero ideas and zero dollars then this is what I’d recommend for you to do.

1. Re-wire your mindset. In the famous words of Z, “Do want to be right, or do you want to be rich?”. Mindset is everything because business is naturally a rollercoaster of emotions. The highs are super high and the lows can be quite low. You can hand a successful business to someone, but if he has the wrong mindset then there’s a good chance that the business will be wrecked within 12 months. You don’t have to look very far as MJ’s limo company to see proof of this. Mindset, mindset, mindset.

Read up on the fundamentals of business. You need both mindset and fundamentals. Read through this thread to get the basic foundation of mindset then start hanging out with successful people who know what it takes to build a successful business, they will give you the fundamentals. You’d be amazed by how much you will change simply by hanging out with people who run their lives according to a different code.

Rid yourself of the victim mentality people in your life. If I got a gallon of ice cream for each PM that I get from depressed people, I could probably feed a small nation by now. Are your friends the type who play the blame game? Do they take responsibility for their lives? Do they complain about problems rather than wanting to fix them? Do they seek approval rather than seeking results? Shifting the mind will shift your life.

2. Grow a pair and talk to people. I find that whenever I come up with my own ideas, they usually suck bigtime. Instead, I learned to talk to people and shut up. I let them spill out their problems to me. Guess what happens? The ideas come. Most are not viable business ideas, but if you dig enough then you will find something.

Go to the top players in your niche and find out what their needs/problems are. By dealing with the biggest players, you’re more likely to get LARGE orders simply due to the fact that they do big volume bro! Maybe one day I’ll get some really big guts and talk to the biggest player of them all, the United States Government.

3. After you have found the idea by talking to people, create a prototype or demonstratable example of what you have to offer. This comes directly from zen*******'s course about how to raise capital. That course is worth the INSIDERS subscription alone. You should probably send him $100 rep bank minimum for that course.

Anyway, in the course he interviews a guy who discussed the importance of showing physical examples of what your product has to offer. This is far more effective than just throwing ideas out because the customer will then have something that he can see and feel. The value provided appears much more real. Why else do you think Costco gives out all those yummy free samples?

4. Use the prototype or demonstratable example of your product to pre-sell and validate demand. Alright this might spark a lot of controversy here. You don’t absolutely have to get pre-sales to validate demand, but I think that if you are able to get some then it’s a fantastic sign that you’re on the right track. On top of that, it lowers your risk. There’s nothing worse than spending $20k to develop a product, only to find out later on that there’s no demand for it.

5. Get creative with manufacturing/development of your product. There are ways to acquire the product more affordably, just think outside the box. It is very possible to start a business with zero dollars. There are books on this stuff. Read them.

6. Scale in the most efficient way possible. Webinars, facebook ads, Craigslist, hiring salespeople across the country. Try to delegate the tasks that don’t utilize your time very well. Scale out your time.

7. Accept that the road is hard. Holy shnykies, this is a big one. Just keep pushing. "If you're going through hell, keep going."-Winston Churchill

8. Drink top shelf alcohol only. Grey goose, Belvedere, Ketel One, Patron, Avion, Cazadores, Maker's Mark, Johnnie Walker, Chivas Regal. If you drink the low quality crap that has only been filtered once, you will wake up with a hangover and the entire following day will be wasted. Business is a serious gig and if you waste one day, your a$$ will be kicked by a competitor who worked diligently while you were passed out in front of the toilet.

Seriously, take care of your body. Stay away from too much sugar intake and high carbs. This will spike your insulin which causes you to get food coma and feel sluggish. I cannot stress how important it is to take care of your physical self. You need to feel energetic if you want to operate on full throttle and think with clarity.

Shit...the media completely twisted the story. The headline in the newspaper the next day was "Millionaire Birthday Kid Parties With Homeless". First off I'm not a millionaire yet, 2nd it wasn't my birthday haha.
Careful...

You know what lame excuse is holding me back? An idea. I dont have fear of screwing up as I am working on the idea. I dont have a problem wasting money on an idea. I do have a day job, but dont really have a fear of losing it or dumping it to go after the idea. Mj stated in another thread that the idea excuse is horrible, because just getting an idea wont do anything without the process. Personally, I dont think I would have a problem after figuring the idea part out. Sure, I wont know where or what to do, but I feel (again for my personal self) I would enjoy the thrill, frustrations, etc. If someone said there was a need in how people do X, I would figure outthe process with repeated failures. Have I taken time to really listen? Honestly, not as much as I should have or I would have tried something. I spend more time learning the process side of things( selling, persuasion, how the mind works) instead of thinking on needs. Sorry for the rambles, but you asked :)
