Not sure if this is the right thread for it, but wanted to say I'm impressed with MJ's GoalSumo.com.

I've been using it for a few days now and (having used a lot of systems over the years) I love the simplicity of the dashboard, the way it links to longer term goals, keeps those in view too and ESPECIALLY how it is forcing me - FORCING ME - through the gamification to make sure I get the most important goal of the day DONE

I've signed up for the paid version & going to port my other goals and tasks over there (currently in Trello).
The power of GoalSumo.com for me is that each day I can import 3-5 of the key tasks from my Trello boards into it, and it keeps the most important in front of my face and highly gamified until I get it done. Simple, powerful, effective.

Our objectives with GoalSumo.com are to reintroduce simplicity, producitivity, and fun into a crowded space. MJ and I use our DailySumos daily, and it's provided a lot of value for us. It's great to hear that you're in the same boat and you can use GoalSumo to go out and do your own awesome things!

Thanks for subscribing. We are working daily to bring new features to GoalSumo, without the paywalls and complexity that other apps might introduce. Thanks for being a part of our early beta and sharing your experience! Hopefully we can continue building the platform into a system you love! If you have any product ideas or thoughts on how we can continue to make the experience better, please let us know! (There is a feature request form on the help page)

Where's the best place to feedback or ask questions about Goalsumo?

For example - I've REALLY enjoyed using it but this week I'm kinda on vacation (still working a bit but that's because I like to work almost every day and vacation almost every day no matter what i'm doing) so ideally I'd like to "pause" Goalsumo rather than wreck my stats, but am wondering is your intention we use it every day even when on 'vacation' and on those days maybe the Power Task is some sort of self care? (e.g. for me this week the most important thing I can do everyday is genuinely to go snowboarding for at least a couple of hours and let my mind wander).

Hi N.S, thanks for your input!
We actually have a feature voting system located at ideas.goalsumo.com ! In this case, you're looking for the "Vacation Days" requested feature. You can head over there and give it an upvote! We're working on implementing this feature amongst other big upgrades for GoalSumo this month!

Glad to hear you're enjoying GoalSumo! Please let us know any other ideas you might have at the link above :)

Let's hear it!

And what are you doing to ensure this isn't just some resolution that will die the third week of January?
I am definitely getting into shape this year. I'll be exploring the world around me, be more social and available for my family. I've become an indoor person which is not so good.

Thanks Dean. That's great news!

I went over there, logged in but can't find a Vacation Days feature even after searching. Is there one there? I don't want to make a new suggestion for something that's already in motion.

You're right, looks like we didn't have it posted there, must have been on an internal list for us. I went ahead and created a post, so you can go in and upvote here! Vacation Days and Off days · GoalSumo Feedback .

Thanks for being an active beta member!

For 2023 I have decided to stop my horrible habit of action faking.

So far this year I have:
-got one of my business's products into a local business and sold out the first weekend with a reorder for next weekend

-struck a deal with an old friend to make a website for him to boost my web design portfolio

-signed up to get my fingerprint clearance to get gigs/jobs that require it

-signed up for a free business tax workshop next month

-worked on original music

-worked on original artwork and jewelry design

-sold an original piece of art

-worked on original designs for produce on demand clothing

-become more active in the Fastlane Forum

-applied for some side hustle gigs/jobs
That's amazing. How do you manage to work on so many things? Sounds like the dreaded polygamy though, but everyone has their own ways.

I'm working on original music as well, see if I finally record it and release it in about 2 months when I'm free from some chores.

I'm with @heavy_industry , I don't believe in yearly goals-setting. Ultimate way to get a dopamine high, then say naaah too much work.

I've got some ongoing goals since a while ago though:
  1. Get married - Macro project with 2 ceremonies in 2 different continents plus a legal wedding somewhere else that it's been pretty much a full-time job to prepare for weeks. That's not counting visas and relocation. My future wife affectionately calls this project WeddingZilla.
  2. See if I can change my contracting approach to make more money for my time (needs adding way more value than just doing grunt work).
  3. Start some other business that doesn't involve trading my time this much. Or adapt the business above for this purpose.
  4. Record and release a few pieces of original music, as well as some arrangements and recordings of existing music. I'll try to sell the sheet music to make it feel more "productive" (although I don't expect to make a dime, even people with tons of followers don't sell much sheet music).
  5. Start working on a Roguelike video game (although I don't want this to distract me too much from all the above, it's mainly for fun).

I think about business in all of my activities or interactions. Even when I do something for expression or fun, I'm still thinking about the business potential. There is always money to be made.

I feel that actively creating is beneficial for the creative process. To avoid polygamy as you say, there is a hierarchy of importance for different activities, and I always keep my Fastlane goals in mind. The side hustles are part of getting there.

I want to implement a system where I review my actions on a regular basis (day, week, month, quarter). If I am failing and need to adjust, I want to know that immediately, not at the end of the year. Time is too precious.

Will definitely give goal sumo a solid try and do more research on how to improve my planning, execution, and self-reflection abilities.
Any updates on this?
