2012 B&P Presentation Topics

Well it is getting close to that time. Lets make a list of the presentation topics of those that are attending. This will help people on the fence see what kind of things kick off the conversations that last a lifetime (or atleast until you can't remember after that night you just had...)

Topics:

Lighthouse - Life Hacking:Tips to streamline your life, work and relationships(ill come up with a more appealing tagline later)
DavidLa - What is Lean Startup and how applying it to your business can boost your success.
Russ H - It's the end of the world as we know it: How social media is completely re-writing the rules for business owners
MikeC - I got my hands on some really awesome mobile marketing material earlier this year
Jill - "Stuff I've Learned along the Way: Nuggets of Wisdom that have changed my life - or at least made it easier!"
danoodle - "My one year anniversary in Real Estate - Results and Lessons Learned"

Newbs are always surprised that we talk about *non* business stuff, too. It's all about what you're good at, and have experience at, and are willing to share.

You would not believe how crazy, seemingly off-topic stuff winds up stimulating all kinds of great conversation and good ideas.

Ok, trying to come up with a topic to discuss. I would appreciate feedback on the topics to get a feel for what you would want to hear.

1- Real estate asset protection
2- How/why to set up offshore company and banking
3- Multi-flag life strategy (residency, citizenship, business, banking, investments, etc. in different countries)
4- Goal setting

I could also do more technical presentations, but these tend to be snoozers.

1- Economic forecasts
2- Options trading

I got my hands on some really awesome mobile marketing material earlier this year. Thinking about putting it into presentation form.

My votes go for GOAL SETTING (and not just that, but how to DO DO DO), and the advantages/disads of multi-flag strategies.

Also, you could comment on the sitch w/the US indicting Swiss Banks and how it might affect world money movement (no whining allowed--- we all knew this was going to happen-- I'm just shocked they waited so long after announcing it in 2008/9!!!)

I think alot of times, we could just mention what we do and our area of expertise and people will have a lot of questions to ask you. That would easily take up most of your presentation time. In fact, our presentations usually end up going long due to questions.

If anybody is looking for a topic, a good one would be the exploding area of DIY-education, Homeschool, For-Profit education and private services businesses for public schools. Software as a service, infrastructure as service, platforms as service in the education area. I'm working to get a LMS (Learning management system) built for my own online k-12 school and plan to sell to other school systems to get their programs online. Massive growth and I really believe this area is just getting started.

The booming area of selling special ed services via distance technology to public schools and rural areas too!

Gosh it is just such a lucrative, fertile field..I could go on for hours! It is my fastlane plan!

Anyway, maybe if someone is really stuck it wouldn't take too long to pull some info on it together. If you want to do it and need any research let me know, I can go into the ERIC and EBSCO databases to pull some evidence based education research to show the growth and success of online education.

LOL. I was actually going to do something like that. As I think I joked to you on a Facebook post that I would talk about "How to hang out with cool, successful people every year even if you aren't one!!" But I think KFS is already doing a life-hacking theme.

So as the old - er, experienced - chick in the room, I might just talk about "Stuff I've Learned along the Way: Nuggets of Wisdom that have changed my life - or at least made it easier!"

Topics would range from the mundane business tips to more arcane travel tips (from someone who spends 200 nt/yr in hotels, and has 3 million airline miles logged so far) and everything in between. I could probably throw a few of the "Rockstar" life-hacking tips into the mix as well, cuz I know KFS doesn't know them all!!

Does this sounds interesting to anyone?

That sounds like a good topic to me. I will play it safe at my first B&P and go with "My one year anniversary in Real Estate - Results and Lessons Learned" I haven't had to present something since my college days...so we'll see how it goes!

Looking forward to meeting everyone and all the knowledge that will be shared!

So, here are my ideas on topics:

Stuff I know really well:
1) Ways to buy real estate "No Money Down" in 2012
2) Short sales: what are they, how to do them, potential consequences

Stuff I've read a lot about:
3) Diamonds: marketing and monopoly

I'm kinda leaning towards #1 above, but not sure if that would be boring...?

Also, I am looking into selling a private label product, and I would appreciate any insight into online retail, distribution, SEO, etc. I recall someone was doing a "How to get your products in stores," which sounds really interesting.

Oh, and John's (my husband's) topic is: Mindhacking 101.

Cool, Anne! Personally, I think the diamond topic sounds fascinating, since no one has ever covered that topic(to my knowledge)! But all the above sound great!! I'm getting excited!

Even if we don't discuss it formally, I'd also be happy yo share with you offline some of the good, bad and ugly of online private label ventures.

Yes!! Who says you can only do one topic?!? Looks like we'll have time for more if you can't decide. (Please, please!)

I would enjoy the part on options as well, but it can be a bit dry if you aren't really interested in it!!

I'm thinking of presenting on the connection of nutrients & our ability to think, create, function, focus, remain sane -nutrition from a standpoint of optimal mental power, not just from a physical body/vanity standpoint....
