I recently watched Darkest Hour (2017) and I must say, it certainly put things into perspective for me rather quickly.

I also saw a lot of striking similarities between leading a country through war, and the struggle we entrepreneurs face in creating something new and not giving up, even when people around us are telling us to quit -- not that we could ever relate to what Churchill went through in such a hard time. It makes our struggles look like child's play.

It was extremely inspiring for me. Especially his address:

Although I knew about Churchill before, I started to get more interested in his persona after being properly introduced to him by the book How to Get Rich by Felix Dennis (great book if you're an entrepreneur btw), and I've gotta say... that man was the real deal.

I watched that movie on a plane and enjoyed it, his biography is on my "to-read" list.

Agree with this, as you say the situation's are completely different, but both require leadership and strength. And also confidence, to follow through on the vision despite differing opinions.

Running a country is definitively not easy. But I disagree that business people have it easier.

Within the business community the consensus is that running business is much harder (Ya it does sound self serving on the ego).

But think of it government is essentially a monopoly. As a business you have to worry about survival. The cost could break you. The regulation could break you. The change in market demand could impact you business. The list goes on.
