This thread reminds me of Sholam Weiss who is currently serving a 845 year sentence. He disappeared during his trial and resurfaced in Austria with the millions he looted from National Heritage Life. The FBI knew he would be found as he could not stay away from the high life, casinos, and multiple high dollar prostitutes. He was aware the CIA was closing in on him but chose to live the party life in Austria even though he was aware that if he crossed the border into Belgium he would not be extradited and could keep his millions. He chose a party lifestyle over freedom. To some folks freedom is not important and prefer to squander their wealth on short-term fun.
