I'm sure this question will result in me being hanged, drawn, and quartered; but how can I decide on my niche within a niche?
For most of my life I've always wanted to be a bodybuilder. My question here isn't how to monetize this, I'm aware of how most bodybuilders go about making their living (coaching, selling drugs, working security/bouncer, onlyfans, sponsorships, selling merchandise/supplements).
My real question is, how can I decide on a niche within this niche? What is my USP? What sets me apart? Sure, I could be a muscular guy and that's great but why should others follow me on a large scale? What could I potentially add to the domain that a different bodybuilder hasn't already?
I don't wish to only make a small living as a local personal trainer, I'd like to have a large online following for being a bodybuilder. But chances are, I genetically will never be the greatest bodybuilder to ever live (bummer I know). But I can still be a great one. So considering that, what can I do to get others to follow me?
I realize none of you can answer my questions for me, and I'm hopelessly stubborn, but this has been circling my mind for a long while now. I know roughly where I want to go, I know I wish to be a bodybuilder, but the road leading there is too foggy to see what lies ahead. Not sure if this is a cry for help, or venting, or whining, or I'm actually expecting some groundbreaking insight from one of you to light a fire under my a$$. I guess this is just my 26-year old quarter life crisis in written form.
Anyway as an addendum, I realize I'm working backwards. I've read the books. I know the lingo. The proper Fastlane advice is to start from the question of how you can help others, not how can you monetize your passion. The market doesn't care. Lifting weights for myself doesn't provide others value. I know that. I still want to limit myself to this niche. How can I solve a problem in this domain, or if not solve a problem, say something others haven't, or say it in a unique or more entertaining way?
