You can get it for $125 here
I ordered mine there a few months ago.
Yes! Recently found out that this is a fully licensed reprint. I’ll be ordering it ASAP. I have a pile of others that I need to get through first.

I want to get my hands on a copy of Eugene Schwartz’s breakthrough advertising, but it’s ridiculously expensive. eBay has a copy for $414. Hard to justify.

I was going to get that one as well until I saw the price!! That must have some great info!

Best Served Cold, by Joe Abercrombie. Not a business book you say? Please! It's all about freelancers... uh, free lances... competition, goal setting, and execution (in more ways than one!). Pure usable information, just... dramatized.

There is a seller who has reprint rights, but even at $125 it's still a tough pill to swallow. I have a badass thermodynamics book that I'm going to try to sell, it goes for $195. So anything near that and I won't have to deal with the wife, when the advertising book shows up... 😀

I'm reading: Self-directed Behavior: Self-modification for Personal Adjustment

Why: I struggle to control my behavior and work consistently.

Why I think this book will help: It's a real evidence based book that teaches the skills of self/behavioral regulation. They've even tested the effectiveness of the book itself! Students in college courses who use it to make changes to their behavior are significantly more successful. The times it doesn't work is when they don't use more than one of the techniques, or don't use it long enough.

Who should read it: If you often tell yourself: I don't have enough willpower, I am not consistent, I wish I worked more on my business etc.

The Art of Thinking Clearly - Rolf Dobelli

The Miracle Morning!

Just finished The Miracle Morning. Had almost bought it several times but MJ's recommendation in Unscripted got me to finally pull the trigger and read it. Quick read and beneficial to anyone.

Currently Reading: The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber

Eye-opening so far. Anyone else read it and had success applying the principles?

Just finished How to Win Friends and Influence People - yes it took me a long time to get to it, yes it is a classic for a reason! Loved it.

Currently reading Ogilvy on Advertising - more amazing insight on advertising in the first chapter alone than some other books/resources entirely.

Update - Just finished listening to Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss. Fantastic book and highly recommended. Back to UNSCRIPTED re-runs during the commute until I find the next book. Although I can't help but laugh at myself. I'm learning a ton from these books - but am I just action faking? I tell myself it's the best use of the 3 hours I spend in the car each day of the week.

Great book - how you doing applying its teachings?

I should go back and do a quick refresher. Unfortunately, I read E-Myth Revisited while blissfully unaware of slow vs fast lane - and I'm sure you can guess which one I was in.

This one here, solved a few issues I had. Great example of using a heuristic as Mr. Taleb would put it.

It's changed the way I engage/respond to other people, in business and elsewhere. I found it to be one of those that was downright logical - nothing earth-shattering, no crazy new techniques or strategies, but it just makes so much practical sense.

Highly recommended.

Antifragile - Nassim Nicholas Taleb

So far it's very interesting and gives often a very counter-intuitive perspective on many things usually taken for granted.

Finishing up Made to Stick by Dan and Chip Heath (MJ recommended it somewhere don't remember).

Great book with lots of practical knowledge. It's a quick read too.

Can't Hurt Me - David Goggins
The Way of The Peaceful Warrior - Dan Milman
Book Yourself Solid - Michael Port

Just ordered Strengthsfinder 2.0. My 9 to 5 told all employees recently that if I bought the book, completed the questionnaire and turned it in they would reimburse me. What a perk! It already happened to be on my TMF booklist :)

This is something I've not seen anyone else mention.

If you're tired of action faking because you don't know what it is you're supposed to be doing and you want a simple plan of action from someone that's a fan of MJ DeMarco (quotes him in the book) from something easy to understand AND DO then...

Check out this excellent read which I think is not titled correctly..

It's called The Index Card Business Plan.

IMO, it should be called the "The Index Card Success Plan" (maybe or at least something like that).

No more action faking.
