The blind conferencing between parties is now functional. Next up is the billing code

If you want to test follow these steps:

1. Create an account flirt account: Showing users » VIP With Me! | Flirt and CamGirl Community
2. Activate through email.
3. Go to account settings. Add a phone number. Click verify. You will get an automated call that asks for your pin number in order to verify your number.
4. After verifying refresh page and click "make active" next to the number [I am going to make it so this automatically refreshes, just haven't gotten around to it yet.]
5. Go to your profile and click create listing.

Now create a client account and repeat steps 1-4. Then go to the profile of the flirt account you created and click call.

You will receive a call to the client account phone number, press 1 to connect to the flirt. The flirt account will receive a call. Press 1 to accept. The parties will now be conferenced.

I can't wait until this project is completed in a few months.

Don't know if you'd be willing to share in the private forums or something, but the part I'd be interested in would be your plan to get customers. In doing some googling, you've got some competitors doing the same thing and they've been around for a while. What's your plan to grab some of their customer base/contractor base(the girls). How will you market it to grab a share of the market? Would be interested in those aspects if you're willing to share.

I don't have access to private forums. I will be doing some unique stuff for getting the customer base. I am not going after sites like cams.com. The site I am primarily targeting is niteflirt.com

I am offering more features, a more modern UI, better rates and other features like the ability to have it call you directly on skype if you prefer that over cell/landline for example in order to avoid paying extra for long distance if you are calling from a country outside the US.

Been working on sorting out bugs throughout the day and cleaning up listings a bit. Got a few minor bugs left in the calling system and then I will be moving onto the billing code.

Here are basically the phases:

have you done web based revenue model business before? i know what you did before/still do.... whichever it is. Sounds like you have done web-based business like this before though. I would love to get into the major development like that here eventually but i do not have the resources.

This is my first real web project. I am doing a majority of the coding myself. The costly part of this project is the telephony part as I have hired the best consultants in the industry, with my whole project relying on this being flawless it is one place I could not cut corners.

You are coding this in ruby correct? Sounds like a hefty project, i hope the returns are there for you. Will be especially interesting to see how the celebrity "guests" do for traffic and revenue as well.

Yeah it's all done in Ruby on Rails.

Worked today on implementing a new tag search system.

Basically you can select any amount of tags. When you select a tag it will show all remaining matching tags and the number of matches.

Click any tag in unselected list to add it.
click any tag in selected list to remove it.

I changed the title on the main page to "VIPWithMe! | Live Phone Sex and Web Cam Community". I am not sure if "VIPWithMe! | Live Phone Sex and Cam Girl Community" would be better though.

I also realized I had no data in my <h1> so I set that to "Phone Sex and Web Cam Community".

I think my site is fairly optimized as far as SEO and keywords go. Now I just need to build PageRank.

You might want to add a bit better meta description. your's seems a bit short. Have you done keyword research? i would optimize pages for the most trafficed pages.

PR is fine but you might want to build solid backlinks as well. Are there any keywords you are ranking for right now?

Been doing ton of SEO optimizations. We will see how effective they are when google recrawls my page.

Also fixed image uploads [they were broken], fixed multiple image upload as well.
Changed the activities on front page to only include 'Flirt' activities.
Started working on transaction management system.
Tons of misc bug fixes.

Been an extremely busy weekend. I am glad however I decided to stay home and work instead of attending Ultra Music Festival. I feel like I got a lot done and that it will pay off in the long run.

Laid foundations for the transaction system. Hopefully will have all the call billing knocked out within the next 1-2 weeks.

The only problem I'm expecting is finding a merchant with decent rates that will deal with adult stuff. I am designing it however so that I can plug in billing at the end. That way I can bring a laptop to the bank and show them a fully functional product with dummy money to show them exactly what type of site it is and that it is not a typical adult porn site.

Also did a full database wipe. Tested creating users from scratch. Discovered several critical bugs that I fixed.

Among these bugs where:
-Crash during signup process.
-You were unable to create listings.

With the amount of work I've put in this weekend I feel things are really starting to come together.

Good progress, I would hold off the parting and just get the thing up and functioning, the time off will be much more worth it then knowing you have the thing done and ready to go. Esp if you set a goal and a reward for getting the site done and tested.

Good idea. Rewarding myself with Twin Turbos for the Gallardo when the site is live
