I recently found a tool that can be extremely beneficial to anyone out there running online stores (not just Shopify).
Their are different companies all basically doing the same thing.
But the two that I found are:
Mouseflow ---> 100 free recordings/month (currently testing this one out)
Hotjar ---> 15 day trial
There are others out there but you just have to look for them.
Basically what the tools do is track and record your visitors sessions on your website and allow you to playback the recording once they have left.
This is a great way to see how users interact with your website, and find areas where you can improve.
I recently used this to diagnose an issue with customers arriving at a "Not Found" page that I didn't know was even happening
. Also, it helped me realize how inadequate my free Shopify template was and now i'm in the process of picking out a premium template.
This has helped me tremendously so I hope you can get some use out of it too!
