Hey! To me self-help books, seminars, videos, etc etc have always been a waste of money and time to me.

Recently, I came across the book " Act as if " by Richard Wiseman.

Super interesting and “If you want a quality, act as if you already have it.”

Highly recommended :)

one of Tony Robins more applicable pieces of screed , find someone who has done what you want and mimic them.

Sorry Alexesther but "act as if" by Richard wiser is just a rehash of timeless wowoo

at least in this case it holds up as common sense and has empirical interest however

Wiseman’s work is based off of a Victorian philosopher named William James, a beloved American psychologist. He was the brother to Henry James, novelist.

I’m still doing research but apparently William is the inventor of the term ‘stream of consciousness’.

I like to know the original philosophers who inspired the modern day writers.

I just saw this

Find it a bit strange, if you don't know who that is, hes the husband of Sara Blakely (spanx founder)

They are billionaires............ or atleast Sarah is, odd to see. I'm not sure why multi mill or billionaires would spend there time training people, for money.. ? hmmmmmm

Maybe I should start training people, stand beside a Lamborghini with a selfie stick and start drunkingly ranting about crappy jobs, would anyone like to pay me $50,000 for a 1 week course? Let me know!
