I am new on the inside.

Been reading a few threads here and there.

Watched the interview featuring @Johnny boy.

I am disclaiming any business advice that may appear in this post. Why? I am new in business and the best I can do here on the inside is learn.

I have recently published a book on English as a second language for high schools. Anyone with a desire to go beyond the basics of English can use that book. I don't yet have it on Amazon.

You may find it in the thread titled Getting out there and having conversations.

Someone more savvy with the forum than me may drop a link somewhere here.

I have so far sold over 40% of the books printed first.

Seeing the impact it has on those that have bought it, the confidence it gives them, the strength, is a big reward.

My goal for it:

• Getting it to other schools to increase its TAM.

MY LAMBO DREAM
I have never told this dream here.

First, I want land, and a house for myself, my parents and my family.

Second, I want houses for others to rent. I can call it RE.

Third, I want to start a tech company. This is serious. Right now I am laying my foundations.

Fourth, I want some decent yet powerful car or cars and I want to retire my parents from peasantry.

I want to marry a beautiful woman and raise my family in a F*ck you way and money shouldn't be a cause for friction.

I want to make indelible marks on the lives of People, especially those in Uganda. That's the essence of the book on English as a second language.

I will keep reading books and acting, getting physical fit and taking control of my life and my destiny and my fate.

I will post this here because I don't want it out there.

I want to make indelible marks on the lives of People, especially those in Uganda. That's the essence of the book on English as a second language.

The book has some improvements that needs to be made. In printing and in content.

Getting some content edited and revised. Got another printer. GOT TO MAKE IT GREAT. But my vision for the year are f*cked up.

I made some stupid decisions that's put me down for longer than normal. Spent money like an idiot that I was.

Except for tuition, I have never really handled money of close to 500USD.

Seems my partner isn't willing put himself on the line as much as I am. It is my idea we are working on. I guess I just have to own up.

I will keep reading books and acting, getting physical fit and taking control of my life and my destiny and my fate.

I have read books. Currently reading Elon Musk. I love his story and I don't give a shit about how he leads and relates and works his people like mules.

They get things done in miraculous ways. They plod and push and grind through rock in the dark and get shit done no matter what.

I have been consistent with physical workout and began get a ripped body. Thanks to a sentence or two from @heavy_industry . He just told me to eat eggs. I eat at least two per day. Hope I am not overdoing the eating. Someone at work yesterday talked about my muscles growing. People taking note.

I moved out of my dad's house and rented a single room with no power and no bed. My mattress is on the floor. I sit on the flow while reading.

I workout on the floor of my room using an app from playstore. I can't remember the name.

My book business is in shit. I got it in shit by being stupid and hiring a moron to do the printing just because he charged less money. I had option that would be slightly expensive but I have confirmed better at quality.

Now I am in the shame of facing disappointed clients.

I am decided whether to dig in and continue to value skew the book or to move on. I believe the idea of the book is great. But my execution is shitty.

Sorry fastlaners if this isn't fit for the inside but I am too ashamed to set the record in public.

No offence Isaac, but if you meant to post this in INSIDERS, then you "missed."

You've posted it in the general part of the forum. I suggest that you DM a mod (@Andy Black / @Fox / @MJ DeMarco etc ) and ask them to move the thread to the INSIDERS introduction section (please). I've never had INSIDERS so I shouldn't be able to read this.

P.S. Your execution is "shitty" (your word) because you are a newbie. Keep going with business activities and you will get better. We all start out with no business skills, the difference is that some people carry on regardless and others quit.

I frequently use this line from Red Adair, who became well known to the general public for capping the oil wells in Kuwait that Saddam Hussein had set on fire.

'If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur'

You have kind of learned that lesson the hard way, but generally there is a reason companies who charge more at face value for the same product/service get it.

I think I am at Act again.

I acted by printing and getting to the market.

I assessed and learned that I had messed up.

I have learned what adjustments to make on the product.

Time to chin up and act.

Been away for quite a while.

Nothing much happening.

Moved on to publish a workbook.

Sales moving quite slow but orders are a little larger than the previous year.

Marketing still going on.

There are people, one or two who love the workbook and go about marketing it.

Believe more sales will be made.

It is slow and idle most of the times so I am moving to manufacturing.

Still in research and design but believe will soon be in prototype development.

Hello family

The prototype was made and sold.

What an exhilarating process it was.

I scored an F 9 in chemistry at secondary school and yet I successfully mixed chemicals to produce the prototype.

I together with the biz partner have sold most of all the prototype just by sending SMS to contacts.

Now looking forward to expanding for the market.

Thinking and moving into packaging.

Will seek to understand the cost of it sooner.

Want some simple packaging for a start. To just get the product into stores/shops and it speaks for itself.

Then will move to growing the bulk production.

It is a product I can just into almost any store and ask the owners to buy.

I can the for residences if need be.

Unlike books, where it is difficult to tell if the next person wants and loves to read, virtually everyone uses such a product.

Looking to get the MOU signed and the bylaws adopted in a couple of days.

With time will work towards a unique formula registered under the patents law.

Will also then begin incorporating a company.

For, now, making the product tomorrow.

Getting it sold, expanding even by average percentages, and getting the simplest stickers and packages.

It is been a long road. Guess it will longer.

I am ready for it.

Getting more crazy and more scary.

Honestly, I am very afraid.

Got myself into serious financial quagmire and stuff keeps getting darker and more muddy.

I still believe I will come out but I don`t know how.

The deadline looms heavy and the cave keeps getting darker.

Just an update.

I am applying to several schools.

I want to teach in several schools this year as opposed to teaching in one.

May help me get more money to meet first step goals.

May also provide more market for my books.
