So ... In short I hate school with all my soul, I don't think college helps me become UNSCRIPTED , my mom wants me to go to college ... so I just don't try to convince her, I need value-vouchers (3000 "reais" = $ 1000 with the high dollar) to support me. I will report every day / period of my work. Of course with pratically no money.

The first day will be to evaluate if there is a NEED for my idea (market research, search for blogs, amount of research, etc ...).

Basically I hated my gym teacher who is talking and not advising students to do the exercise correctly, I went to research and it is a problem for many people (at least here in Brazil), so I went to look for a personal trainer on Google , and I didn't find any website identifying it in my neighborhood, I went looking for an application and it doesn't exist either (at least in Brazil). I thought ... "as in the middle of the 21st century there is no website / application for me to find a personal trainer LoL".

Tomorrow I show the results of my research, thanks to UNSCRIPTED , I still haven't ignored the idea (see" VALUE SKEW: THE 6 MISAPPROPRIATIONS MYTHS "in unscripted ).

If there's a gym there will be personal trainers, just ask there.
If they aren't online there's maybe a reason?

I know in Italy for example coaches have to be very careful with what services they "advertise" as it could get them in trouble if the trainee gets undesired issues.

Here in Brazil it is common for them to advertise on social media and I even found news of a company here in Brazil that had the same idea, it’s just not in the play store yet ...

I’m researching the amount of monthly research like "finding personal trainer "or" personal trainer in such a place ". I also found sites here in Brazil that do the same service but in a very crappy way

I don't know if I like the idea of connecting a personal trainer to a customer online, maybe it could work, but I feel like someone typically looking for a trainer will head into the gym.

In Brazil I assume the people are fairly active and generally outdoors so fitness isn't exactly an issue like Canada or USA where there is hilarious amounts of obesity, afaik Brazilians are quite a healthy group.

Out of all the people I've met in the world from around the globe I've never met an out of shape Brazilian.

Perhaps you should enter a different market, and ask yourself what do the people of my country want?

Here is something fun to look at

Consumer Behavior Lately, Brazilians have become more optimistic about the country's economy, which has allowed them to increase their spending. Even though the Brazilian consumer is hopeful about the economy, the country’s recent recession has influenced the way people manage their spending. Nowadays, Brazilians tend to save as much as they can when they go shopping. Additionally, even though consumers usually remain loyal to their favorite brands, they only do it if the price is right. Consumers might also shop around to find retailers selling a specific brand’s products at lower prices. That way, consumers continue to purchase items from their favorite brands without spending too much. Brazilians tend to do product research and look for deals before making a purchase. To save money, Brazilian consumers often shop in popular discount chains. However, they still expect quality products. Furthermore, customers demand high-quality sales service and customer support. Online customer support service is highly useful in maintaining contact with customers, but customers expect a fast response when they contact companies via social media, as they mostly hope to have a reply in under one hour. Consumers have more access to information than ever before, and they will likely search for reliable information about brands and products to assist in the purchase decision. Furthermore, the reputation and popularity of the brand matter more than before to the average Brazilian consumer nowadays. People tend to spend their money on experiences as much as they spend on products. Additionally, Brazilians spend a significant amount on electronics and beauty products, and the country is one of the biggest markets for beauty products in the world. According to research from the Brazilian Credit Protection Service, 65.7% of Brazilians say that caring for their appearance is not a luxury but rather a necessity, and a quarter of Brazilians say that they spend more on beauty than they should. Young consumers are inclined to buy trendy and brand name products, particularly those products that are popular on social media.

Personal trainers at most gyms are not any decent.

An app to help people find personal trainers, and to help personal trainers reach out to, schedule, and bill their clients sounds great! Surprised it doesn't already exist actually.

**First day**

Research: Are a NEED to find a personal trainer?

- Fitness market movement 2.1 billion reais per year
-Over 8 million people enrolled in gyms
-About 120 thousand personal trainer in the country
-More than 34,000 gyms in the country

Following the CENTS validation:

I don't need to delve into the justification of the CENTS: An application / website that can be worked (initially) anywhere in Brazil, with all my CONTROL, with ENTRY: medium (at least in Brazil, it is not easy to make an application) but it is not the same to work in an industrial area, there are several points about NEED that I will address later, it certainly has the potential to SCALE as it reaches more people and more personal trainer, in relation to TIME the project works in a way totally independent of me.

Keyword research

“Personal trainer” 10 thousand-100 thousand searches per month, low competition
“Personal trainer price” is at the top of the polls with 100-1 thousand searches and “private personal trainer”; “Hire personal trainer”; as well as “personal trainer in Sao Paulo” (Sao Paulo is a city in Brazil)

Similar solutions, competition and VALUE SKEWS:

Currently, a personal trainer is found more through recommendations (intuitive / arbitrary data). Fun fact: I realized that all the VERY GOOD instructors at the academy work more as a personal trainer than as an instructor. The advantages of obtaining a personal rather than training alone are several:

-Execute the exercise perfectly (MUCH harder to correct yourself)
-Training done by a specialist, according to the person's biotype and following the progress (professor at the academy usually doesn't manage to do it)
-More motivation (yes, having a person accompanying it really helps to do more repetitions or carry more load)
-Consequently the SAME person with a personal tends to have much more results and mass gain / fat loss

My mom and my stepdad have a personal, but it was too expensive for me to have too, so I went looking for an app to see the prices of the personal trainer: bruh, don’t exist. Only “personal trainer robot” appeared, not a human personal trainer LoL

So I went to google if there is a website…

I came across a website saying that there were “10 personal trainers in my neighborhood” (getninjas), in fact there were none… everyone was a long way away (my city is a capital of the country, it is a very big city and with very little data). I also went looking for other sites.

That is:

-I didn't have a LIST or SEVERAL OPTIONS of a personal trainer
-It was priceless
-The photos were pretty ugly, looking like NVIDIA bots
-No evaluation
-Yep, I haven't found a personal trainer

I thought "it is not possible that nobody has created an app / website like this before"

I saw that there was an app in 2016 called fitfly here in Brazil, but it doesn't appear on the Play Store, and his website is broken too

Conclusion: YES! I WILL CONTINUE WITH THE PROJECT! I may fail, but it is my first business… and as MJ says: “As an entrepreneur, the best we can do with the marketmind is engage it”.

Now I'm going to draw (literally, because if there wouldn't be a giant text here on the thread) my way to the first sale (I have experience with Google / Facebook ads, I've studied a lot about content marketing, only my copy that leaves a lot to be desired).31717

I would like to finish both the application and the (elegantly obvious) website by the end of the quarantine (30-50 days) ... you should know that school is a cancer and will consume a lot of my time ... now I I have a lot of free time. I don't intend to spend 5,000 hours studying programming.

Wow, thanks for the attention and bring the article from Santander, it is a very large article and full of valuable information, I haven't finished reading yet.

Hahaha, here in Brazil there are a lot of fat people, including my family, going out on the street or watching news in general, you can easily see many fat people ... most people here are overweight (not bodybuilders). We are one of the largest gym markets as well (we just don't have more gyms than the US).

The problem with the personal trainer is precisely this: -you have to go to the gym or have a networking-, you don't have a list with several options, pricing and evaluation of these people.

The idea is to make it more accessible just as Uber made taxi more accessible. (Of course, at first, the idea is just to look for people who ARE ALREADY after a personal trainer).

Do it and good luck man, seems like a cool project, use ionic for the app and create an mvp(minimum viable product) than get some investor to back you up(public or private).

You can make it in 1 day with ionic or similar platforms.
You don’t need it to be perfect, you just need it to get the financial help needed to hire a good software developer/s to then create a good product.
Another idea would be tk find such an app in english and offer them some kind of deal to split profits in brazil in exchange for helping them fullfill the need in your country while taking care of everything.

Meeeeh, today was a very troll day ...

I spent the day looking for various drag-drop tools but I didn't find any free ones (when I said I was starting DO ZERO, it wasn't a joke). Well ... at least I found a way to not need to learn the backend: firebase

I already found an Android course so come on, I just need to do the same as the design I did on day 2

Vc está aprendendo android ?

Utilizo um framework de multiplataforma. O flutter da Google. Com uma única base de código escrita em Dart vc entrega para IOS e Android. Outra vantagem é a facilidade de aprendizado e velocidade de desenvolvimento.

Are you learning Android?

I use a crossplatform framework. Flutter by Google. With only one source code written in Dart you can deliver app for both IOS and Android. Another advantage is that Flutter is easy to learn and fast to develop.

Yes, I did research on the legislation, here in Brazil the profession is not specifically regulated, is only necessary to have a degree in physical education and receive authorization from the Physical Education Council, declare taxes and these things like any professional

Very exciting to see. Looks like you've found a pretty good idea. Have you done any direct market validation? I know that when I built my first app/startup, getting on the street and talking to as many people as possible was really helpful. Talk to the trainers, talk to customers. Not only validates your idea but gives you some real ideas about your target audience and marketing objectives.

Validating directly is a great idea, I haven't done it yet ... as MJ used to say "as an entepreneur the best we can do with the marketmind is engage it". So I'm learning what it takes to launch the APP for real.

Speaking directly with the public is essential even for the main objective: Make the first sale and validate a productocracy

Impressed with your approach towards building the app, but the only problem is that there is tons of free content available online to learn gym exercises and for training. People prefer to get to know their personal trainer and will most likely choose a personal trainer based on how much customers he already has.

Tbf I think you should outsource the app, and focus on learning sales/marketing. Marketing will play a huge role in determining how many people use your app

Thanks for the feedback!

Even having a lot of content on the internet, watching a video and having someone on your side pointing out your flaws in performing an exercise is completely different, it was what motivated me to look for a personal trainer online, but I was frustrated (at least in Brazil, has no solution of its kind). My market research is at the beginning of the thread (day 2).

I spent a whole day looking for various tools to make an acceptable application, I didn't find it for free and I also don't have money to hire (the name of this thread is not "starting from scratch" for nothing hahahaha). About studying marketing, I spent the whole last year reading several books (Jordan Belfort, Joe pulizzi, Robert Cialdini and other guys here from Brazil), and I will have to continue studying ... the problem is that I must learn to program, but I believe you can make an app of extreme quality with 2-3 months
