I'm currently in the beginning phases of my fastlane journey and I'd much like to start off with solid foundations, and hope this thread gives insights for others as well.

My question is this: do you think it is better (faster to reach escape number) by purchasing pre existing businesses, "rolling them up", then selling them (like what Dan Pena talks about) or is it better to come up with an idea and start from scratch?

Any input is appreciated. Right now I'm thinking buying businesses would be faster, so please give me perspective on this topic before I start going all in on this. There's probably no wrong answer really..

There are multiple threads like this already here, we don't need another one.

I suggest starting there.
