well yesterday i was on youtube when this wonderful advertisement came up with the ever so helpful harv who wrote secrets of the millionaire mind (which i havent read) but he's been around enough years i thought i'd be able to trust him, so he says "do you know the top mistakes that are keeping you from prospering right now well i have a free webinar that will teach you the 6 key steps that will allow you to prosper and do well in real life click the link below" so i was like wow that's really nice, this already wealthy man is taking time out of his life to help us out for free, should of figured then it was to good to be true but of course i didnt.
so i clicked on the link they wanted my email (OF COURSE) then after i entered that, his very nice looking son came on so i already felt good starting out, saying thank you so much for registering i wanna thank you on behalf of my father then blah blah blah for another period of time, then the main harv guy came on he looks you in the eye and said " yeah i read every book out there on money, none of it worked for me, i grew up poor worked 12 different jobs and then tryed 12 different businesses none of them lasted, so tomorrow tune in and i'll share my secrets of success" so i got happy and set my google calender for the time of the webinar, ended up being so excited i couldnt sleep was up past 1 am this morning afraid id sleep in and miss it which luckily i didnt.
today the class starts, he says "welcome, so glad you could make it, then goes on detailing for 20 minutes about how broke he was, never had money, always bumming a ride, business failures, moving back in with his family, one day as he and his family were playing cards one of his dad's wealthy friends over heard how he was struggling financially then told him advice he'd never forget, "if you're not doing as well as you would currently like, that simply means there is something you don't know" i kinda liked that because it resonated with me
then the rich friend told harv, why dont you spend the next 6 months studying rich business owners, so harv agreed, then he said just out of pure luck he charged $2,000 to his credit cards and earned well over $500,000,000 following these principles, that made my ears purk up, so he says there are 6 steps to the success i've had, 1. no limit to income, when you work a job you are being paid for your time, well there are only 24 hours a day so since your time is limited your income is limited (i totally agree) jobs and wealth don't go together (again i totally agree)
if you want to be successful the only way to do that is to own your own business ( i'm starting to think maybe this guy is fast lane so i'm really enjoying it)
step 2. i ran 4 businesses at once, i was in one then a friend had jewelry so i thought id sell that, then a friend had hats so i got in the hat business, then 2 other friends had 2 other things and i sold those to, i figured if i had more than one business id be safer, well i went from doing fairly well to broke and i was trying to figure it out, then i thought well it takes alot of energy to get anything going, especially in the beginning, most of the rockets fuel is burned just from lift off so if you want to be successful only stick to one thing focus focus focus, (i'm like yeah that makes sense) then he says " you hear alot about multiple streams of income why would you want that when you have to work multiple times as hard" ( i thought that is true...)
step 3. do what you love, if you want to be successful you have to be passionate about it, i started my own gym not because i thought id make alot of money out of it but because it was a hobbie i enjoyed (this is where i thought of mj and was like darn i wasted all that time on just another guru, so i dont know if i messed up by not listening to the rest but i am kinda disapointed to say the least
