It’s a show about the most redneck Canadian logger entrepreneur on the face of the earth and all of his hoopty a$$ machines and problem solving. It’s wonderful fun and it’s also in Vancouver @Antifragile.

A big tree fell in my yard from some heavy winds. I didn’t call a tree service. Instead, I bought a bad a$$ Stihl chainsaw today.

Went to buy a desktop iMac last night.

Tried the first store which has a massive apple section - "ah we don't actually have any though"

They tried to sell me the demo one which has been there for two years > that is all they had.

Then went to the more official apple store which is basically all Apple products... they had nothing either.

"Ya we are all out of stock on iMacs for all our stores" (this is like 30+ stores)

Me: Okay when do you have them back in stock?

"I think a shipment is coming to Poland soon, we aren't sure"

Crazy - Christmas this year is going to be a mess.

Went to buy a desktop iMac last night.

Tried the first store which has a massive apple section - "ah we don't actually have any though"

They tried to sell me the demo one which has been there for two years > that is all they had.

Then went to the more official apple store which is basically all Apple products... they had nothing either.

"Ya we are all out of stock on iMacs for all our stores" (this is like 30+ stores)

Me: Okay when do you have them back in stock?

"I think a shipment is coming to Poland soon, we aren't sure"

Crazy - Christmas this year is going to be a mess.

Why iMac, wouldn't macbook with a great monitor would be a perfect combo.

You can take the macbook on the go, while it doesn't take much space on desk it you use a stand.

If you ever see a woman and her boyfriend fighting and you don't know the couple, NEVER get involved, EVER.

If you attempt to step in to protect the woman, she will side with her boyfriend against you 100% and they will attack you together.

The best thing that you can do is stay the hell away from that situation and call the cops - assuming that the cops are even necessary and that they're not just a normal couple having a bad day.

Contradictions are way more fun.

Be a world class fighter that has tea parties with his daughter.

You'll be happier thinking of your personality of a series of roles that you play rather than one uniform one.

O great forum hivemind, I need travel advice.

Starting to really hate where I live.

Here's what I'm looking in order of priority. Basically a Unicorn:

- ZERO 'Ro restrictions (NO Masks, NO Vax Passes) and NO collective fear. I want to be left alone when I leave the house and forget COVID even exists. The people and government must respect people's freedom. This is my #1 Priority as I live in the USA-mainland equivalent of a deep blue state and the toll on my mental health has been immense.

- Warm, Open, Generally Happy & Humble People. People are pretentious in the city. English Speaking Preferable but not necessary.

- Coastal Town where It's Walkable, Good Bike Scene / Bike Trails, can SUP Paddleboard. I like historic/cobblestone vibe.

- Accessible easily by Airport (regional) preferred but optional.

- Car rental nearby too, for longer distance day trips.

- HOT to temperate climate. I live in the Caribbean and don't mind the sweat. But I've never experienced temperatures lower than 30 Fahrenheit.

- Cheap, I don't like paying >1k/mo in rent for a nice place in the city center. But optional.

- Potential long-term residency options if I like it enough (optional)

- Low to no tax for offshore sourced income (I'm in high ticket B2B sales - optional)
