The problem is that when young person falls he/she gets bruises and mostly that's all. For ageing person its more possible to break bones because those bones are a lot weaker.
This is a real problem, break a hip and wind up needing rehab and usually deconditioning happens during the down time and further exacerbates recovery. It can be very challenging to get back to previous functional levels. Broken hips/legs can often be the event that moves an older person into permanent need for 24 hr care.
I would think prevention through delivering home-based strength/conditioning services to the elderly, paired with some service offering home modifications that prevent falls, etc. would be an area of opportunity. I'm talking about before they get to the point they need the retirement community or the assisted living facility.
