The food in Canada is better for you than the food in America but not by much, We do ban some chemicals found in food that is available in the US (such as red 40).
Now Europe has a way better food system than the US & Canada. When I go to Europe I can eat whatever food i want and not get heartburn or gain weight. They also have a huge banned list of chemicals that they can't use that we have in our food in North America.
ChatGPT put it nicely for me:
- European Union (EU): The EU follows the precautionary principle, meaning substances must be proven safe before use. Many additives, preservatives, and pesticides allowed in the U.S. are banned or restricted in Europe.
- United States: The U.S. often allows ingredients until they are proven harmful, which means some controversial substances (e.g., certain food dyes, growth hormones, and preservatives) are still in use.
