Hello everyone! I wanted to make a topic, just to introduce myself and to tell my story so far, to exchange some ideas and who knows; maybe someone will be inspired/motivated by it as well.

So I read (technically listened to) the Fastlane Millionaire in 2016 or 2017, can't remember.
Then I joined the Fastlane Forum in the same year, lurked around a bit and got really inspired by a blogpost by the name "CHECKLIST: How to Start a Digital Marketing Agency & Hit $5K in Less than 90 Days". Awesome thread, thank you so much Sean Marshall for writing it :)

Then I bought a shitload of Tai Lopez courses when it was on a Black Friday sale in 2018.

I started my web development/social media marketing agency in December 2018, as a sole proprietorship. Then I really didn't do much else, except order a shitload of business cards and make a website for myself, and a facebook page and linking them to each other.

Fast forward to September 2019, and I have my first web design customer! And now, as of Jan 2020 I have my second one. Woohoo.

I have charged these about 1000 usd each for the webpage (more or less).

The first customer is my sisters friend who randomly saw the webpage, and is starting a company of her own.
The second customer is the owner of the gym I go to. I got into contact with him by giving a business card to a martial arts instructor there, and he knew the owner so he introduced us to each other.

The plan for 2020 is to actually get way more involved in SoMe, and to actually start marketing my own business (especially on Facebook). I am still a bit unsure whether to invest more time/energy into social media marketing or web development, although I think web development is more interesting and fun, and I eventually want to get into SaaS as well, so it might be a smarter choice.

Alright that's it for me right now, feel free to shoot a comment. Thanks for reading!

Hey man, good job!

I have a comment and a question:

Comment: I used to do the Tai Lopez business model as well and it worked! I made several thousand but then I quit for various reasons. For me, I just didn't like marketing that much and I also had some poor mindset stuff going on. But congrats on your sales! Keep it up!

Question: Why do u think it's important to learn web dev if you're outsourcing (I'm assuming)? Also how do u count on eventually getting into SaaS?

I just bought 6 courses of Tai with a great discount. That includes SMMA 3.0, 67 steps, etc.

He is opening a new 4 months course about becoming a certified e-commerce expert. Not sure if it is worth it or if I will have the time to learn from all the courses I just bought.

What are great questions to ask myself in order to decide to purchase it?

I'm not outsourcing. I'm learning web dev because I think it's interesting and a lot of fun, and like you, I don't really like the marketing stuff, paying attention to Facebook ad ROI etc. is kinda boring to me, lol. I've no idea yet how I'm going to break into SaaS, but I'm learning more web development languages eventually.
