Hi everyone!
My name's Alex, I'm 24 and living in Amsterdam. After finishing my masters in digital marketing, I defaulted to a 9-7 job working as a website manager for tech companies. 2 months ago I decided to go freelance on the side as a web designer. I learned how to use Framer and started to volunteer for startups redesigning their websites to build my websites. Now I've started my first paid projects. I'm still in the phase of trading my time for money but my goal is to sharpen my web design skills and then (1) productize that knowledge and (2) build digital web products using that knowledge.
I've been investing since I was 18 and bought my first apartment earlier this year (on a 30 year mortgage). Since I was 17 I've been reading personal finance and self-improvement books. I even ran a personal finance IG page for 3 years during uni. However, reading TFM this month has been a real eye-opener that most things I've been doing on focusing on pertain to the Slowlane and are not true drivers of wealth.
I decided to join this forum (btw adding a paid gate is such a good decision to reduce spam) to learn from others, hopefully connect with like-minded people, and share my Fastlane journey.
Super stoked to be here!
Alex
