Gdansk/Sopot in Poland.

Been living here two years and love it.

It is super relaxing, everyone is very friendly, and it has strong family/community values.

There is also hardly any crime and the food/scenery is great - super nice beaches and woods.

One example: At the local park here there has been kettlebells locked up with a tiny chain for 9 months - they are easily worth close to a 1000 euros and no one has gone near them ever though you could steal them easily.

Downside:
- Polish language is one of the hardest to learn (but nearly everyone speaks some English)
- If you aren't white you might feel a little out of place (Poland has very little foreign immigration)
- It can be a little boring if you like adventure sports > there are no mountains or waves (but beach is still nice).

Also it is very solid on prices and hardly any traffic.

The UK is #7 on the Heritage Foundation Index... The United States, the country that embraced the individual, that declared independence, that became the most prosperous economy in the world... Is now #20 and falling.

You think the UK is a woke shithole? Try the USA! I haven’t heard a political figure talk about small government in 5 years. The real pandemic here is Stockholm syndrome (bootlicker) where people honestly still believe they live in the only “free” country, whatever the hell that means anymore.

We are taxed to oblivion. We get Biden or Trump, a couple of old socialist idiots, telling us what to do, at gunpoint. For that “privilege,” we pay them half, or more, of what we put into this world.

Most Americans are now empty shells of nothingness wandering through life on someone else’s terms, doing what is expected of them by someone more important, never questioning the status quo, and parroting what their slightly different socialist group thinks.

Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Ukraine, Austria, France (some parts), some parts of the Netherlands, Flanders, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Portugal, Switzerland, Russia, China (google Baizuo lmao) etc

Actually, avoid all Anglo-Saxon countries and Scandinavia + Finland because this cancer spreads depending on people's English literacy (and they speak good English there). You'll do best in countries where people speak very little English, or hate America.

In this list, Poland, Hungary, and Estonia are by far my favorite countries.

There is plenty of opportunity in the UK, but culturally it's not somewhere I want my kids to grow up, the woke laws / politics suck.

Any suggestions of thriving and common sense practicing cultures and locations would be appreciated!

Caribbean islands are my go to real estate search fun.

Some of these are entire countries that have less government than my exurb municipality.

As full-time resident of Georgia, I can only speak of this country.

#7 in the world by the index of ease of business (Worldbank data)
#4 in the world by the index of safety (Numbeo.com)
#12 in the world by the index of economic freedom (Heritage.org)

Do you like mountains? - check!
Do you like sea? - check!
Do you like rainforests? - check!
Do you like deserts/safari? - check!
Do you like nightlife/clubs/shitty dive bars? - check
Do you like wine? - double check!

Price of living is much cheaper than Europe (city public transportation $0.25, meal in restaurant $5-10, city center 100sq/m apartment $400).

Maybe I'm biased as a local, but having traveled in europe, can't think of any that's better to live.

Rhode Island for now.
Been traveling full time since early 2020.

Flying back to the US for the first time in 8 months tomorrow. Not looking forward to it.

I ask myself actually, why do I need to go back?
The awful woke culture is hard to ignore. I don't have any social media, I don't read any news - yet I STILL get it sprinkled in my life.

I want to live with independent people - who believe in the value of hard work, personal responsibility and respect.
I want to be around people who respect everyone - not just people with certain skin tones and sexual whatever.

We're all people, and I don't get what happened to judging people by who they are - not what they look like.

--
Anyway, I think about this question a lot. I just don't need to be in the US anymore.

We spent a lot of time in Eastern Europe last year. That's solid.
Cyprus is on the list.
Lived in Portugal for 3 months, not bad.
Living in Mexico City, and honestly, right now, that's our favorite.

Heard Georgia is cool, will try to get there next year.

But really, as far fetched as it sounds, I want the succession / free state setup.
I just don't want some government to penalize me because I create jobs, opportunities and work hard.
And I resist any 22 year old telling me I should do this or that - I want to be left the F alone.

Sad to see the US fall apart, but, I'm not going to cry - going to get on with life and be happy elsewhere.

(sorry, rambling rant, but, this hits home to me in so many ways)

What's the deal with wild dogs in Georgia? I've heard a few people say they were chased by packs of street dogs in the capital or in parks etc
Bro, I’m sure that’s Atlanta not Georgia.

@theag any plans to move somewhere else?
Not currently. I nearly moved myself and my business to Malta a few years ago but then decided against it.

These tax havens sound great on paper, but actually living there is a completely different thing unfortunately.

I actually would like to stay here and still haven't lost hope. But I think Germany (and other western countries) need to hit rock bottom first, before they can climb back up.

IMO that will happen over the next 4 years in Germany if the green party wins the elections this year.

So the current plan is to build a greenwashing non-profit as a front for the actual business to profit from the upcoming socialist government and switch back to capitalist pig mode after they ran the country into the ground.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thriving and "un-woke": China, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia,...

Note: "Conservative Locations" may not be the most immigrant-friendly locations.
It's true. The main problem here is obviously, commandment of control.

Seasteading is the ultimate solution, the ultimate fastlaner's asset and the biggest FU to soci****s and their governments.

Alternatively, you can buy an island (it's not THAT expensive).

Edit 1. South-Korea ain't bad either, but as quoted above, conservative societies are difficult to immigrate in (which is why they are conservative).

Edit 2:
Can't you just move to the country side? Like another user said the closer you get to the city or financial centers the more "woke" it is.

It is absolutely correct. Sociologically, classes don't exist anymore. Societies are split in-between the globalist elite, mobile, highly educated, mainly center-left-left, and the "silent majority" from the countryside, very sensitive to innovation, and any type of change in their communities, more religious, and much more conservative.

Okay I see what you're talking about, but really how bad can it be?

I have the impression that the woke movement lives only on Twitter and in the news, but in real life it is not being given much weight

Realistically is this Scottish bill going to impact your life at all?

In my opinion you can avoid the woke culture by shutting off the internet and cutting bridges with certain people...
Haha "How bad can it be?" famous last words...

This rhetoric and far-leftist ideology is strongest amongst our younger voters and they will be in charge not too long from now. It's only going to get worse if it isn't nipped in the bud now. You can't cut bridges with the population at large. We exist together in our communities.

And yes, it's already impacting my life if my freedom of speech is curtailed through fear of reprisal. It isn't only for Twitter users.

Usually when people say this, they mean they can't say racist shit anymore and they're sad. Boo f*cking hoo.
I'm a person of colour so it's not about racism - it's being implemented into laws now, people are being imprisoned for twitter comments and memes where I am - be grateful that you are ignorant to the bs here

I live in a large UK city and can't stand the woke culture either. It is a good place for business though - the UK is a huge market and relatively low taxes compared to other major economies. I plan to grow my business here then eventually sell it and either move to the countryside or move abroad.

Have you considered moving to the countryside? Woke culture is generally only seen in cities, where the universities are. Plus with conservatives in power for the foreseeable future, surely there is some hope that the woke culture can be countered? Don't forget the last election showing that the woke are a minority even if they shout the loudest. TalkRadio promotes freedom of speech and GB news is being launched soon to provide an alternative to the BBC.

México baby! Biased because I live here now.
Legal is a suggestion, sure there's corruption and crime, but I like a little spice in my life. It keeps you on your toes.
The upside is great. I haven't really found anything that's more expensive here than in Canada, much better climate (I love the warmth and sun, but there's a wide range of climates here if you're not all for it), and the people here really value their freedom. I can walk into a pharmacy and buy medicine without a prescription, and my favourite part is that they're not completely covid crazy with restrictions (at least in the state I'm in). Easy visa as well. Worth looking into.

How is this "woke" movement affecting your everyday lives negatively? Like how bad can it be? Can you give examples?
Can't you just turn off the TV, stop reading news on the internet and live peacefully, or is it so bad that you are affected in real life?
In theory you could do that, yes. I'm happy to let everybody live in their own bubbles.

The problem is that my taxes are financing them and their communist agendas.

Moving to another country is not a solution unfortunately due to stricter exit taxes. 90 years ago Germany used the same thing against jews (Reich Flight Tax - Wikipedia). We all know how that ended. History repeats itself.

Oh and of course today's exit tax is much higher than the taxes against the jews.

Yeah, if I was white I would move there, I'm thinking the middle east because of my racial background

I was thinking about your post the other day Leron. You see the thing is I am almost 50 and grew up in the UK in the 1970s and 80s when the country was definitely not woke.

Back in those days I was chased by racist skinheads as a child, called racist names sometimes by my teachers at school! The programmes on TV were casually racist, programs like "Love Thy Neighbour" a comedy show about a white couple dealing with the fact that a black family had just moved next door, was one of the most popular programmes on TV and boasted a viewership in the multi-millions.

"Comedians" like Jim Davidson and Bernard Manning had prime time TV slots and their material was 95% racist and the next day at school people would laugh and repeat their catchphrases, calling me things like "chalky" and "coon", asking me how far my dad could throw a spear.

Of course like many black people I had to pretend to find it funny as well, it was that or be in six fights a day. I had to save my fights for the more serious infringments.

The fact is, it was acceptable to be racist and to discriminate against non whites. Then we got PC and "woke" and that shit stopped, or at least retreated to the dark cess pit minds of the racists, they no longer felt emboldened because society at large showed them that it was not acceptable to go out P*ki bashing or shout n*****er on the street.

So yeah, if you won't to move to a "less woke" country and you are not white, well my friend I feel you will suddenly realise that "woke" or "PC" are not bad things. Like anything they can be taken too far and trust me, I've seen some stupid woke shit lately. However the alternative is a country whereby at best you get the short end of the stick just because you happen to have been born with a different pigmentation in your skin, at worst you die.

The end of the 80s in the UK was signified by the killing of black teenager Stephen Lawrence, whose only crime was to be waiting at a bus stop with his friends, when 6 white thugs ran up to him and shouted "what what n****er!" and stabbed him through the heart. That was when we said enough is enough and the PC movement began in earnest.

This is why I suggested you try living in Ukraine or somewhere in the Balkans whereby they still live like 1970s Britain, go there experience that and then you'll see woke aint so bad. In fact the most vociferous opponents of "wokeism" tend to be white right wingers, think about that...

Peace.

This is good advice. It was getting to me for a while. Switching off Twitter, the BBC, and all the papers apart from the FT headlines helped.
Twitter is literal hell.

This kinda makes no sense - it feels like an absolute blessing to me. I'm 27 (London) and I can tell you that the competition feels like it is lower than it has ever has been when I talk to people older than me. My whole generation enjoys wasting time (Instagram, Netflix, Brunch, Tinder, complaining about useless shit) - Just by doing basic stuff like going to the gym, eating healthy, holding down a decent job, working on a side hustle and maintaining a few real friends makes you stand out lol - It really doesn't feel like there are many people competing with you to start a business and live a great life because of this woke stuff, enjoy it : )

Wokism and high finance are 2 halves of the same awful coin. Wokism is about demoralizing people into a population of docile serfs (feudal serfs were probably treated better honestly) and making sure that things like religion and culture don't interfere with making money.

Basically, the more commercialized and financialized a place, the more woke horseshit you will have to deal with.

Try moving to a place with a low cost of living and low crime and you should get something conservative ish. But @trylks is right - conservative places prefer their people to newcomers.

For me, the whole topic is slowly becoming a business case. There are so many topics in which people differ so radically from each other that living together will no longer be possible in the future. I don't need to list them, everyone knows it. That's why we needed services that start on a small scale where there is a gigantic excess demand. Entertainment that has turned from political correctness into boring propaganda freak show, this is a huge area for comedians, there will be golden times when a new large social media platform (as announced by Trump, for example) has established itself and thus has the opportunity to have a large one again Get an audience. Then bias free messages etc. The infrastructure for such platforms, reasonable servers that survive one or the other DDOS attack by the enemy. Data and censorship protection are also huge business models.

And in the end, the greatest need is secession and the establishment of a free private legal system (free private cities) in order to be able to offer people a free and tax-favorable place to live in which they can live in peace and freedom.

So let's stay happy and create an offer.
