Whoa, Nellie. Everyone above is signing the death warrant for Southern CA.Also anyone has any input about living in San Diego or Los Angeles I would greatly appreciate your $.02
@Toddo I hear what you're saying about the regression of your social skills and wanting to regain them. The singular most powerful weapon I have as an entrepreneur here in San Diego is my network. I'm bringing new products to market in a category I wasn't in prior and it's being possible by the braintrust I've cultivated over the years via in-person relationship-building.
Does that mean I think you should definitely move to San Diego/Los Angeles? Absolutely not. There has to be more your story as to why you have a hankering for Southern CA. What is it?
San Diego is a pretty amazing city and I've lived here for 30 years. Our businesses are doing well and there's no way I'd leave. However, there are many, many cities and towns in the US you could choose to accomplish the re-integration you and your wife are seeking.
Life if far more than work. So if there's something about the people, the opportunities & the lifestyle that draw you to Southern CA, then keep it at the top of your list. But look elsewhere to confirm your suspicions.
One final note: going from a big rural island to Southern CA could be like graduating from kart racing directly to Formula 1 in terms of speed of life and scale.
Wish you all the best in your quest.
