By "stuck in a rut" I mean when you've been working hard and not seeing any progress. The rut can kill the motivation and creativity of any entrepreneur.
My solution is simple: Unplug and take a break.
I left my laptop at home and spent a few days in Southern California. It was amazing. I visited places, ate, drank and talked to people. It was exactly what I needed because I was so cooped up indoors.
My first day unplugged went well. My second day not so much. I started to get anxious. I wanted to work. I didn't want to walk on the beach and eat food. It's funny because a few days before that trip, I was frustrated and doubted myself. I wished I brought my laptop. A couple of more days passed until I got back home. The change was noticeable. I was more positive, I came up with some new ideas and I was eager to hit the grind!
Drive to a city you've never been before and rent a cheap motel room. Drink (heavily) at night, dance, hit on girls, visit the tourist attractions and check out the souvenir shops.
Look at what is selling
These are redneck party cups and they're selling at the shop for $20. This seems really stupid but someone out there is making passive income.
Three days is not going to kill you but it is going to change you for the better.
