Yes. To be the best and learn the most at what you do. That is what seems to be different.I see it as a partly causal relationship, work ethic stemming in part from a drive to succeed. Why does someone want to work hard? Do they just like to work? That might be the case for some, but I would submit that for the majority it is because of a drive to accomplish something important. The need to feel that your life has significance. Work is a big part of that for many.
I don't even know why I made that statement about work ethic. It was never my intention to start a serious discussion here. Perhaps I was "triggered".
