Hey guys!
I've been thinking that I can experience a junior retirement in just a couple of years. Right now, I'm working on my first startup (there is an open thread about it) where I'm planning to launch next April 16th. I'm reformulating my main business to create products to help people and small businesses to grow/progress.
As I said on the thread, it will be a monthly subscription for small businesses to get new customers from my service. I'm working hard to make it an awesome product with and outstanding customer support, so my idea is to finish this year with 1,000 registered businesses paying $20 per month. Starting from, let's say, Januray to December 2013, and keeping it in this minimum, I'll be able to save around $240,000.
Added to that I'm dedicating a little time each day to create local online stores charging $25 monthly to businesses to be able to sell their products on my website. E-commerce is not well developed in my country, and on small towns like mine, small businesses don't have idea of how to market themselves on Internet. So this is a great opportunity to start something without investing too much (I've downloaded a great free theme from Woothemes, wich it's a very good starting point) and to help others to grow their businesses.
Currently I have a designer that will be publishing its products (for free, because she is the first one). I'm sure that once other businesses know of it they will want to publish too. It's a nice idea to iterate on other towns, so having by the end of this year only 300 registered customers x $30 per month, I'll be able to save $108,000 (as I said previously, from January to December 2013).
$108,000 + $240,000 = $348,000. Investing that money into a 5% interest rate, I'll get around $1,500 every month. That's enough (in my country) to pay the rent, internet, food, other supplies and live modestly.
From that I can leave my job and dedicate all my time to increase my money system to millionaire ammounts. I think that this medium-term objective is a great chance to experience the Fastlane with money earned purely from interests
What do you think guys? I was thinking of it all day and wanted to share this with you because here is the only place where this kind of stuff is not impossible.
