I read the book, currently reading UNSCRIPTED . The 5-for-2 trade is front of mind for me, it fuels my desire to break out of the slowlane every day.

Never was much of a reader until I've read TMF . Couldn't put the book down. Finished in a couple of days.
A real eyeopener.
Ordered Unscripted , finished that in a couple of days.
Got the taste of reading, now I'm reading Kaizen (for business) and ordered sales manifesto which is up next.
Rapidly preparing for my fastlane adventure.
But you got me already into reading books, that's a huge accomplishment for me as it is 😀

Read the book. Finished in a couple days. Certainly has changed my perspective on things. I feel like i've almost dreamed away the past 20 years of working a 9-5 without really thinking why. I do tell my wife that if you dont have a ferrari by the time you are 30 you probably wont have one, and I never thought to think about why! At the very least I will try figure out what I could do of mass value to bring in money and see what happens.

I've read TMF , and am currently working away at Unscripted .

Had a huge shift in how I view money, and am now constantly looking for problems that I can solve, and always asking myself if there's some value I can provide.

I read TMF last week in less than 5 days. The book resonated with me on some of my struggles and mindsets that I need to overcome. I've started the process to the FastLane. I am reading UnScripted and found myself going back to TMF to go over some nuggets and start the process of getting that business that is suitable to start, but I am getting it started in the next month or 2, not in a year or 2. I am ready to roll.

Finished the book back in November. Reading it was a homework assignment for a coaching program. The most valuable lesson I remember was to use CENTS when evaluating whether I want to take on a certain business.

I purchased this Audiobook immediately after Unscripted .

This was the book I was looking for. Seriously. Why does this book not show up in all top 10 books list? I just don't get it. I prefer The Millionaire Fast Lane over Unscripted . Can't put my finger on the reasoning. Perhaps it was the combination of both books. Loved the bubble gum machine from Unscripted . Loved Unscripted as well.

Doesn't matter though. Going to relisten to both books on a regular basis anyway. You only learn by repetition.

My biggest recommendation to everyone.

I don't believe that somebody who hasn't read the book will find this post. But if you do. Buy the book. You have nothing to lose. Seriously.

Read it. Kind of scared because I know that informations in the book are valuable as long as you take action, so reading the book is just the first and the easiest step of probably 200.

The best BUSINESS book I have came across, no BS just straight information.

I just wish the book was available when I was in my 20s.

That's why I wrote it!

Great read! I will be reading Unscripted next.

Thanks, hope that delivers!

I've read the book. And I love it!

Read and love it! One of the few books on my permanent library.

As soon as I finished the book I immediately recommended it to my closest friends and now I have started reading UNSCRIPTED

Thanks for the recommendations!

It is 1 of 2 books that I would put in the top 5 all time resources in print or the internet on the subject. The other is UNSCRIPTED .

Yes!

Best book ever Read

I'm not blowing smoke, it was completely eye-opening.

Yah!!

MJ I must say you are a great person having great writing skill, wisdom & knowledge.

Thank you, means a lot that the writing I do here daily pays some dividends later!

I've read both Fastlane and Unscripted . Over the years I've read several thousand business books and these two are now my favorites.

Yes!

book before I insisted that four of my coworkers bought copies.

Thank you for recommending it!

Easily one of the best books I've ever read.

One of the best business books i've read.

I've bought multiple copies of Unscripted to give to friends and family

Thank you!!

Why does this book not show up in all top 10 books list?

The mainstream ignores it because it is counter-mainstream.
Gurus ignore it because most gurus recognize their duplicity ... kinda like a cattle rancher recommending a vegan diet.

I don't believe that somebody who hasn't read the book will find this post. But if you do. Buy the book. You have nothing to lose. Seriously.

Thank you.

I first read this book back in early 2014 when I was going through a slew of self improvement literature. So many things stuck out to me that they still reverberate in my inner thoughts. I'm currently rereading (almost done) after reaching rock bottom through a plethora of "side projects" and "startups" that have been abandoned, unsuccessful, or never even introduced to a single customer (I know...). I'll detail more on my 5 year journey in my intro thread... Looking forward to a new beginning.

During the reading of Millionaire Fastlane I couldn't wait to start working on my own brand. So I started to make my first few steps without even knowing where to go.

For me at this moment it was all about walking. Making the first steps. And with the time I had more and more a clear vision where to go. I understood it's not about joining a road it's about creating the road where others join in.

I pay more attention to the people around me and try to understand what kind of problems they have. How can my brand can solve them?

After my full time job I spent at first about 4 hours building my brand. But I want more. Now I'm about 5 to 6 hours. Sitting till 1 a.m in the morning and waking up at 5 a.m. for my full time job again.

When I come home I fell tired and not really concentrated. Later that night I feel energized and highly motivated to do more. I have to "force" myself going to sleep for the next workday.

One morning I had a crazy thought. As long as I'm moving forward in my working progress I can't fail. Like a shark who has to move to survive.

Now I make my decisions much faster. I try to save much time as possible to reinvest it in my brand. And the best thing is. Ideas come naturally during this work progress. Sometimes I'm walking through the city and an inspired idea comes in my head and I write it as fast as possible on my smartphone. Later that evening it try to create the idea and see how it performs.

Crazy. I always wanted to be this proactive guy who is working on his own ideas for years. Now I'm doing it.

MJ, thank you very much for your unbelievable advices and clear words. Sometimes a few words are needed to have a huge impact on somebody's life. Your book did it 100%!

Thank you!

I read MFL years ago when I first posted. Loved it... I own Unscripted , but haven't actually read it. It's recently been elevated on my To Do list.

I've been reading it every 5/6 months for about 8 years. Now doing the same with Unscripted since it's release!

I've yet to hit the big time in terms of entrepreneurship (although I'll definitely get there), but the impact it's had on my life outside of that can't be overstated.

Now that there are over 250,000 copies out there in the wild, multiple language translations, etc. this is the thread to let me know that you've read The Millionaire Fastlane .

If you read the book, post here and you will get an icon under your screenname and additional forum privileges. (Private forum, more PM storage, etc.)

Feel free to post your comments about the book as well!

Thanks, MJ
This book really change my perspective about life

Amazing book. Especially great at showing you what mindset is necessary to be a succesfull entrepreneur

Hello MJ, I've read Millionaire Fastlane , and it has been a source of strength in time of distress for me. Everytime I feel like to go back and look for a job, I always reread your book, especially the part about fighting through social indoctrination of slowlane road.

"Extraordinary wealth requires extraordinary belief"

Dear @MJ DeMarco,

I've read The Millionaire Fastlane and Unscripted .
I don't know if it changed my life, as it's still too soon to tell. But it was freaking eye-opening, and it put me on a higher state of awareness. So thanks for that.

I saw this post and I had to reply.
Dear @Nsebhastian, I don't know where you are in your life right now, but sometimes getting a day job is not always a bad thing. At least it's a necessary evil, sometimes.

Hi there Thinh, yes, a day job sometimes necessary, especially when you have kids/ obligations and $0 in the bank.

I have counted my time and money. I am 26 year old and I know I can last 2 years w/o any income at all at my current state (still living with my parents. I helped pay monthly bill and they never mind me not having a day job.)

For me, it's not about getting a job for urgent need. It's just that this whole Fastlane journey is hard, so hard that it sometimes stress me very much that I wish I didn't quit my cushy day job and pursue it. Especially when I hear my friends who are at the same level in corporate employment previously speaks about their salary increase.

The loneliness.

The struggle.

Sometimes, it takes too much toll mentally.

I will publish a Progress thread soon, so perhaps I'll see you there.

Thanks for commenting on my post :)
