Ask her how she feels about getting a second job so you can start over with a new business. See if her opinion changes.

Hard for us to say if you're lying to people or not. Outsourcing is one thing. If you directly tell clients you personally are doing the work, but you outsource, then yes, that would be a lie.
I don't say I am doing the work as such I just prepare the quotes and manage the work that comes in , attend meetings then email over finished work. So I do some of the work but not the main bulk. I am having a bad day today and when the misses starts giving me shit about a business you can see growing it makes you think am I being misleading.
I concur , I said to her where do you think they build the iPhone you are holding!I would explain to your wife, where ever she works at herself is doing the same thing. She's the outsource. She's working for them and they're not actually doing the work. So maybe that will help her understand. Use different examples: Hospital outsource: Nurses and Doctors come in and do in surgeries and health care. Banks pay people to take in cash. If she doesn't get the concept, I would just ignore her. It's everywhere in society. The reporter writes articles for the local newspaper. The owner is never actually doing all the work.
This.
If she's got a legitimate concern, great. Good feedback for you.
If she doesn't have a legitimate concern though, then the concern itself is just a way for her to express her feelings. It's her feelings towards it that are the real issue.
You'll know how she really feels if she makes up more complaints/comments.
"You know, Becky's boyfriend just got a really good paying stable job"
"Sometimes I think all you care about is money"
Be careful of the amount of mental energy you end up spending with an unsupportive romantic partner. Just creating this thread is already a lot of spent mental energy. So is "feeling guilty"
Women are abundant.
(be careful taking relationship advice from anonymous internet strangers though too haha)
I think she stated last night 'all you care about is money!'
Lol, my gf says..Hi,
I have been getting pissed off with my misses giving me a hard time lately about my business saying I am lying as I am not doing the actual work. It is very frustrating as I work for myself and enjoy doing so. My website is a service business but I outsource the work abroad , this allows me to make more money and work on another fast lane website I am growing. My GF says I am misleading people because I am not doing the actual work. I disagree as I created the website and project manage the work I manage to land. Just wanted to get people's views on this ?
Cheers
Of course it is moral. Is it immoral if the sales person of a huge company gets a client and someone else within the company does the actual work? Does she not realize that this is how a lot of service businesses operate?
Edit: I would like to add: If clients are happy with the work provided, it is even more reason why this shouldn't be an issue.

If she ain't supportive, she's holding you back.
Well, at one point all I really did care about was money. I heard those words too, but she was right.
Make sure you know yourself well enough to know whether her concerns are legit or not...ya know?
