...and who it is for?

I've made several iterations to the landing page and so far no signups. I'm wondering if the message isn't clear enough. Initial feedback was to focus on the benefits and who the service caters to, which I have added but I can't get people over that initial barrier of signing up.

It's quite a niche product but one I know people will want and have paid for competitors in the past. Studying the competitors messaging shows they aren't much different but of course, they probably took a different path to get where they are today.

Anyone here with marketing experience have any suggestions? It would be much appreciated!

It seems clear to me. I may even be your target market. I hire developers off upwork somewhat regularly and am not technical so I think a service like this makes sense. However, if you are targeting someone like me I think the headline/initial copy should be better.

"We Help You Manage Your Developers Even If You Aren't Technical"
"Cut development costs, save your time and management overhead by using our software to analyze your codebase and provide actionable and clear suggestions on ways to improve. So easy even your grandma can do it."

That's my quick recommendation to speak to someone like me, copy can surely be improved but that's my quick suggestion.

Love the headline suggestion, thanks a lot for that. I had changed the main headline to highlight the direct benefit of cutting development costs but originally I had something a bit more like what you've suggested. I haven't enough traffic right now to A/B test the options but your suggestion will make it into the list to test when I do.

By the way, feel free to sign up to the free beta program (via the getting started page) if you want to try it for free, especially as you are hiring developers as it could be useful to you.

On the features page the screenshots aren't clear enough.
It makes it hard to see how valuable it would be in a more concrete way.
Drawing the line from the promises you are making to what it looks like in practice so it's not just hype.

Good point, thanks. I just added those as some of my early feedback was to add a features/screenshots page but totally appreciate they need to be much clearer.

From what I understand it makes coding easier?

Its for coders, or am I wrong.

"Save Time On Coding With Our A.I In 3 Easy Steps"

Step 1) Upload your code.

Step 2) Our AI analyzes the code & suggests improvement to the code.

Step 3) Implement the suggested code with just a click of a button saving.

------------------

Don't have 3 price options ...

just have 1...

7 day trial - then $50/month

Once they are onboard you can have the option to upgrade to the other 2.

=============================================

I would include a HERO image at the top and call to action button (but not the description).

Then get rid of this....

"
Connect your code
We securely connect to your team's codebase with a simple one-click process. DevInsight can be setup in less than 5 minutes.
DevInsight analyses the code
Our algorithms run analysis across your teams past and future code, calculating statistics such as risk levels and contributor throughput.
You understand what your team is doing
DevInsight will save you management time by quickly highlighting areas for improvement. It will also cut development time by helping to minimise code churn.
"

and illustrate the 3 steps with very little language and imagery...

i.e replace
"No Technology Expertise Needed"
"Detect Issues Earlier"
"Detect Risky Code Changes"

And replace them with the 3 steps that illustrate how easy it is to use and get value out of the saas (ideally use gifs) like this one;

Lastly don't talk about pricing - just let them get started and see if they find it useful.

You're over-selling it, present it, let them use it without risk (i.e free trial) and if they find it useful they'll stay.

Hey thanks for the detailed feedback. It's really interesting to me that your impressions are that it makes coding easier. I need to work on the messaging a bit I think. The software helps people (non-technical usually) understand their development teams better, offers suggestions for improvements in process and stuff like that.

I've had a bunch of early feedback about adding a free plan but you're the first to suggest simplifying it all down to just one plan. I like that approach, resonates with me.

Love the gif idea! I'm sure that I could provide something like that. Definitely better than a load of text. "Show, don't tell"

I agree with @100k, hide the pricing on the landing page while highlighting the free trial. Allow the client to explore pricing options in their account/dashboard after enrolling, but not before.

Your copy reads a bit too technical and bland for me, but there's always the possibility I might just be a bit dumb. Since some of your clients might also be slightly dumb you could perhaps simplify and add some wit to it?

If this :
DevInsight is built primarily(...) Startup Founders, CEO's, CTO's, Project Managers and more will find DevInsight's range of insights and analysis useful in getting the most out of their team.
then not this
DevInsight saves hours of management time and wasted development costs by analysing your codebase and providing actionable and clear suggestions on areas for improvement.

Or it should be in reversed order.
If any CEO knows what "analysing your codebase" is than he probably is CTO already.
And btw. if he is CTO i doubt he would want to use something for non-CTOs

Some ideas..

“We check tech.”
“Checking their tech, for you.”
“Curious about programming wizadry? Did you just hire brilliant ppl to do something you don’t know how to do? We tell you if the coding wizards you hired are actually using white magic or black magic... or no magic at all.”
“Get clear cut objective feedback about your developing team - without them ever knowing you checked their work.”
“Worried about goals being met by developers who are doing a job you don’t understand? Don’t just expect results from them, have us inspect the work. We’ll relay our findings directly to you.”

Solid landing page. Design is great for a software product. Great job with the character animations and layout of the info.

I think it's pretty clear but as a software engineer, I'm not convinced that your product will live up to the claims.

I have a feeling the product analyzes git repos and tracks the progress of each developer working them. The quick-reporting feature in an easy-to-use dashboard interface sounds interesting, but there are a plethora of reporting products available on the Github marketplace as add-ons (built into Github dashboard). What makes yours unique and special?

As far as finding ways to improve the code and the other claims... those seem hard to believe. Not saying it can't be done, but it's an insanely challenging problem. You can run a linter on a codebase, but so can any developer out there. I would hope your product provides more than that.

Non-technical people are more likely to believe the claims, but for technical people, this will likely raise a red flag. AI just isn't that good yet unfortunately. You'll have to provide more concrete evidence that it works as advertised. Any testimonials from technical team leads?

Not sure where you got this from, but why on Earth would you hide your pricing?

Whenever the senior engineers at the company I'm working at vet products for engineering, features come first, then pricing.

If this was a high-ticket item, then maybe, but $50-200/mo is nothing for engineering teams

This is something you will want to test. Generally, in services and SaaS, 3 options performs better than 1.

One option generally performs better for physical product conversions, not non-commoditized services/SaaS.

The most important thing here is that your LP matches up with your traffic source and they message *they* are seeing. Where are these people coming from?

Hey, appreciate the feedback. I've been a software engineer for over 20 years now so I know how the claims can sound but it's a lot more than just reporting on progress, though it is hard to explain in a way that appeals to non technical people and isn't overly wordy.

I wanted a hard problem to solve, one that couldnt easily be copied and it has taken a long time to build. In my last role as a CTO in charge of 12+ developers, I really could have used a tool like this. Since then I've worked with lots of non technical founders and realised they need something like this too.

Unfortunately no testimonials yet as I haven't any real users but I totally understand where you're coming from and appreciate the need for more trust signals.

Thanks all on the discussion regarding 1 or multiple price points. I agree that it needs testing and that I'll need to make sure it is targeted traffic too.

As @peterb0yd pointed out, its a trust issue atm.
Since you don't have testimonials, you could try to do a demo, either of real repo or just screenshots.
