I am in a unique position in life. After much thought and reading here, I realize that I have some choice to make and not really sure which way I should be going just yet.
At the 50 thousand foot overview, there is a disconnect between where I am in life and where I envision myself
I'm 34, Corp executive in commercial property management(115K/Yr), not married, own house 8 years W/300K of equity available, no credit credit card bdebt, great credit, all do-dads have been paid off, no car loans. About 50K in savings.
I want to own a business...or several businesses if I am ever fortunate enough. I would like to produce 7-10K a month passive income. I would like to take ownership in my own time to do more of the things i like to do rather than the things i have to do.
I had a small car detailing (cash) business for a few years. I did alot of handyman work around peoples houses for years for cash. I started an HVAC business and operated to varying degrees of success for 4 years. I worked it part time trying to build it full time. I had enough flexibility in my old posiiton that I could tailer my hours worked each week and would take advantage of that.
I got promoted to corp exec which consumed all of my time. Had to give up the side business. Was not so sure I liked that type of work anyway.
In the end, I lost my Girlfreind of many years to the pressures of a corporate existance and am looking to get my life back on track an more in line with what I want out of lfe
I have read the plan and a few other very helpful posts here. I am in the last stages of purging un needed things... paring down to the bare minimum jsut about. I am willing to give up my extravagant home with equity to make a wiser purchase that supports my future goals.
What are my options? I know I have to pick a direction and go but I dont really know what opportunites exist and how I should proceed.
Where do i go from here? If you were me, what would be your next STEPS
