All the things said to me in school from teachers, parents, adults, etc. Years of being told to stop speaking my mind and to shut up and listen.

Well sorry, I'm done lowering my voice, staying quiet, and not expressing my ideas and thoughts.

It's time to let my voice be heard.

It's time to find that little kid inside me who wants to be seen, whose not afraid anymore to speak.

I'm done being quiet.

I try not to attribute malicious intent at first. Most people are doing the best they can with the information they’ve got.

They’ve also grown up being taught these things so it’s only natural to continue it.
